Thanks, Thirsty…it takes a lot of balls to golf the way I do….
Well, the Wednesday thing is more of a lifestyle change. League starts at 2:00 and finishes at 5:00. And you know how darts and drinking go together. So, once I’m finished with darts, I’m pretty much finished if you get my meaning. I just think I can do something more productive with those hours and save the drinking part for after dark.
And you are right, I won’t let Greg keep me from doing whatever the fuck I want to. He’s just no fun to be around.

On the contrary, heartfelt and honest comments like yours are always welcome and beneficial. I know good advice when I see it. The hard part of course is learning to actually TAKE that advice. Hopefully I’m getting there.
Anyway, I can’t fault or disagree with what you say. Although I will never forego the bar scene, I’m going to strive for a bit more balance in my life for sure. I’m going to also attempt to keep a positive focus and outlook and hopefully I’ll encounter some worthy people to share this journey called life.
And by the way, it’s a little known fact that in addition to reading the LOTR trilogy (along with the Hobbit of course) several times, I had occasion to read the entire series OUT LOUD to the woman who would become wife #3. Good times!

Haha! I like it!

Chris, yeah I have a harder staying balanced going downhill. Always feels like I’m about to topple over head first…hell, often I am about to topple over….
Soju, I hadn’t considered that. Honestly, as we pass by the natives look at us like we must be on drugs or something….

HaHa! Sorry to let you down this week. I’ll try and improve on capturing the right scenic views.
Actually, I have no trouble keeping the pace on level ground, no so much on the ups and especially the downhills. The real culprit though is my pauses for photography….

Chris, I had a similar concern but I’m mostly solid these days and no more nocturnal emissions thankfully.
I do monitor my vitals and if need be I’ll see a doctor about significant weight loss. I could still actually afford to lose a few pounds though….

A Chuseok walk in fall weather sounds perfect! I’ll look forward to following along (vicariously of course).
Well, we only have two seasons here. Hot and rainy and hot. Looks like we are just about done with the rain now…

I hope it will be the kind of story that makes you smile…

Haha! You are probably right about that Soju…

Thanks guys!

Nope, nothing at all like bike/hike trails you see in Korea an NOVA. Lack of infrastructure here in the PI is a serious issue. The roads are inadequate for the traffic as it is. No one gives a flip about those who choose to walk or ride.

Interesting to have a crappy Okie town with a high falutin’ French name. How does that happen?
» Posted By John McCrarey On 27/August/2018 @ 3:49 pm
Yeah, it’s pretty outstanding that the shit I have to complain about (weather/biters) is so insignificant in the big scheme of things. You can just call me lucky!
» Posted By John McCrarey On 27/August/2018 @ 7:48 am
Jerry, sorry to hear things are not ideal for you now. Still in Colorado?
Yeah, come visit the PI. It’s not for everyone as a place to live, but you can always have a nice vacation here…
Haha, I wish I could write like Dave Barry, he cracks me up!

Interesting question.
In the dart bars it is decidedly a right leaning crowd. Some of the shit is over the top though. A couple of guys (white) occasionally refer to each other as “nee gro”. I’m far from PC but I find that kind of talk inappropriate.
There was a pretty heated debate at one of the Hash events. Some lefty was spouting all the usual progressive talking points and was getting some strong push back from a couple of the other Hashers.
I don’t participate or engage much these days. Makes me wonder if anyone here could even identify me as left or right.

Kev, lots to unpack here and honestly I’ve got some of the same questions.
Yep, I’m definitely a flirt. It’s what I do, it gives me pleasure, and I ain’t changing. So if a gal can’t accept that we won’t get too far.
I hate to stereotype, but Filipinas are generally noted for being insecure and jealous. In a twisted kind of way, Marissa’s jealousy was at least an indication that she cares. I still don’t like it though.
At this point I have no illusions about Marissa being “the one”. It’s more of a someone to spend some time with kind of thing. Things could get better I suppose and if they get worse I won’t have any trouble just walking away.
I think the communication issues are not about language, probably more of both of us trying to play it safe. We have similar baggage from past relationships that I think we may tend to project onto each other. But then again, I’m speculating. I honestly don’t know what is going on inside that head of hers most of the time.
The sex is good and we have some laughs now and then. I reckon that satisfices for the time being.

Yeah, a similar thought occurred to me. And the more un-PC the better!

Yes, Mary. Surprisingly so. But the dancers can not show any nipple. Now in Thailand, the get bare assed naked. But I actually prefer leaving something to the imagination.

Well, it’s funny how tastes in women diverge. The first girl in line was my least favorite, but she was the winner in one of the categories. And no, Kevin. The third girl is all woman (well, I haven’t personally sampled to verify but the bars don’t employ transgenders unless it is a transgender bar).
Here’s a video a friend took of the girls in the casual wear event:

And the lingerie event was my personal favorite…

I’m more concerned about the frequent bouts of LBM. Just seems to be a problem holding it while I sleep, no issues during the day.
Last night Buddy was so excited when I came home that he peed himself. Ha, we are made for each other!
Not a day goes by when I see some lefty post on FB and think to myself, “this is why we have Trump”. They can’t seem to help themselves.

Yep, gotta live large. Thanks, guys.

Well, I don’t have a car anyway…. 🙂
Hey, they don’t call it the “3rd world” for nothing!

Most of the time I feel safe. I enjoy seeing parts of the countryside I’d never otherwise visit. And with a group of folks I feel like someone has my back if something goes wrong.
But yeah, every trail seems to have it’s moments of diceyness. Extra caution seems to suffice, I guess until it doesn’t. I asked early on if anyone had ever been seriously hurt (the potential is clearly there) and was told “not yet”. Then again, crossing the damn highway everyday is probably every bit as dangerous.
Bottom line, as long as I’m not on my own and keep my wits about me (i.e. I never drink before the hash) I should be okay. Bad luck can always happen anywhere or at anytime. I just hope for the best.

Haha! I’m sure those words are a common enough sentiment for us beer drinkers! Thanks for the comment, Jack!

Wow! I am duly impressed! I’m quite certain that this is the first time an original work of French poetry has been published on my humble blog! Really good stuff, appreciate the effort.
As to the Hash cover, well the Hash is definitely intentionally irreverent. Wouldn’t be surprised if at least some of those inconsistencies you noted were not intentional. This is the tag line at the end of the magazine:
THIS IS COMEDY/PARODY/SATIRE MAGAZINE MEANT FOR HASHERS NO ONE CARES IF YOU DO NOT LIKE IT

«« Back To Stats PageYes, I’ll keep my eyes open for a mattress cover.
I expect this was a one-off (well, two-off) event. Feeling fine otherwise. If things don’t get back on solid ground soon I’ll see a doc for the “what’s up?” conversation.
