Got a busy day ahead of me, so I’m going to knock out a nothing post about a nothing Hash. I did my own trail yesterday, stopped by the Hash On-Home, paid my Hash fees, quaffed a few free beers, and then, when the Hash Circle started, I left and continued on with my trail, which ended at It Doesn’t Matter. Yep, it was another one of those “Sinatra” days.
Here a few photos I took along my way:

Swan went inside and played pool with one of the waitresses. I guess she really wants to get good enough to join me in the Wednesday 9-Ball tourney at Alaska Club. Woo-Hoo. I was ready to leave before she was, but I stuck around long enough for her to finish her pool match.
And that’s how I rolled through another day.
Facebook memories took me back to my trip to Phnom Penh four years ago:

I wonder how my life would have gone had I chosen Cambodia over the Philippines. Well, things have worked out well enough here, so no regrets.
Eight years ago, I was in the USA for the last time. Took the family for a weekend stay in the mountains of North Carolina.

Back to the April 2023 LTG archives, where I share the news that Alan, the former manager of the Palm Tree Resort, passed away. Alan was Swan’s longtime boyfriend of 17 years. I’m glad I was able to step in and fill the void Alan’s passing left in Swan’s life.

Today’s YouTube video talks about things that make you realize you are old. I sometimes laugh when I remember being in my youth and mocking the old fuckers complaining that the rock songs I enjoyed weren’t music. And now I am one. Oh, well. Better to be a grumpy old man than a dead one.
Yep, I’m gonna go there again:

Yeah, I know, but it can always be worse. One of the things I’ve got going on today is a lunch meeting with a guy I met in Korea many moons ago. He’s also been a frequent commenter on the blog for many years. He’s traveled extensively through Asia for work, but this is his first time in the Philippines. So, I’m going to show him around Barretto for the next few days. Should be fun.
The bicentennial year of 1976 is up next on our stroll through a lifetime of music. This song seems appropriate for a man like me who has four failed marriages and a lifetime of broken hearts.
John, if you’re meeting the guy I think you are talking about, I would give him a wide berth. Nothing but trouble!! LOL
