A Hashing good time!

Yesterday’s Hash with the La Union group was a special one. It was the 40th Anniversary run, and some old timers from the first year of the LUH3 came out to celebrate by recreating one of the original Hash trails. It was 5K long, mostly flat, and had three beer stops along the way! Man, that’s my kind of trail!

Our Hares
Gathering up at the On-Home before heading out
And off we go!
Seeing everything for the first time is nice
Back roads
A bridge crossing
With a surprise at the end
The view from the bridge
Through a village
Cookie delivery
Hashers on the shelf
Into the fields
A Hash cropped up
Farm houses
Back in the suburbs
A brief highway jaunt
A couple of the local Hashers live on this street
To the beach we go!
Such as it is
A beach walk
Thankfully it was low tide
An ocean view
Be careful out there!
Beer stop #2
Well, it would have been nice to have someone with me on the trip
Beers then beaches again
Abandoned hopes
Broken dreams
Time for some wet feet
The final beer stop
An abandoned bar that was called The Hideaway
And the house next door. I could imagine living there and reclaiming the bar…
Time to head back to the On-Home
A nice day to be out on the beach
But all things must end
But I’ll always have the memories. And this Hash shirt

  1. Really nice pics of the sunset. Seems to have been a good walk. Would you say it was a worthwhile trip overall?

  2. Looks like a good Hash. I get the impression of a bit more rural vibe to that place. Nice change of pace.

BTW, how many Hash shirts to you have? Seems like the make one for every occasion, big or small. LOL

  3. The Bauang township is a relatively rural beach town, but larger cities like San Fernando and Agoo surround it.

I have lots, including some I have grown out of. Almost all “big events” like anniversaries and the like come with a Hash shirt to memorialize the occasion.
