Tired of being sick

It’s hard to sleep when you are coughing and sneezing all night.

I’m not sure of the cause, but in addition to congestion and a runny nose, I’m coughing up phlegm from deep in my lungs. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired, so hopefully this ailment will run its course and allow me to soon be healthy once again.

Despite feeling poorly, I forced myself out of the house for a walkabout.

Heading out from Alta Vista. I knew I’d be keeping it flat.
It doesn’t get much flatter than a valley walk. And “Naugsol Falls” was looking good.
The reason I chose this route was to see if anyone had bothered to rebuild the rickety bridge. They hadn’t, so I stepped down into the void and clamored back up the other side.
Down in the valley, the valley so low…
After a little over 4K, I’d had enough and caught a trike back home.

When beer o’clock rolled around, I headed out for liquid refreshment, knowing that drinking plenty of fluids is important as you strive to overcome illness.

Started things off at It Doesn’t Matter. Sadly, they have run out of my new favorite, San Miguel Extra Light, and the local distributor doesn’t know when it will become available once more.

We did our night cap at Wet Spot, and San Miguel Light was my best and only option there as well. We had some food delivered from Foodies and enjoyed our eats. As usual, manager Brett was spinning some fine tunes, and waitresses Beth and Irene enjoyed their lady drink bounty.

Remember this photo I posted the other day?

I loved the clouds on the horizon, the ships on the bay, and the view of my little town.

Today, Scott sent me a version he enhanced with the help of Google Gemini:

I like it!

It is now April 2022 in the LTG archives, and in this post, I’m getting out of my lane. It was weird inviting someone I’d never even met to my house, but I was worried about her being out on the streets in the early hours of the morning. She turned out to be a nice enough gal and plenty hot by my low standards, but our paths in life weren’t heading in the same direction.

For today’s YouTube video, let me share a short Western drama. Only seven minutes long, but that suits my reduced attention span these days.

Maybe you’ll find these amusing:

I got a speeding ticket once and challenged it in court. The judge asked the cop if he had clocked me on radar, and he said, “No, but I could tell he was exceeding the speed limit.” The judge dismissed the ticket for lack of evidence.
I’ll get the popcorn ready…
Maybe the Kindle version is okay…

Still dealing with all these damn symptoms. I’m going to stop by the drugstore and try to score some Amoxicillin and see if that won’t clear out my lungs and nostrils. Fingers crossed.

This too shall pass. Any chance there is some relationship between the new GLP-1 drug and the overall feeling of sickness?

    Re: video
I recently learned that “vertical videos” are becoming a thing. Designed to be watched on a phone screen, so in portrait mode. A lot of them are micro video series; 60-120 seconds in length for each episode. Haven’t ever looked at any of them, but an interesting concept.

    Re: joke of the day
almost sounds like something a sovereign citizen would say. LOL

  2. A hot whiskey always does the job when you’re floored with a cold or the flu, missing nothing!

  3. I can’t help but think you are sick because of all that synthetic, processed trash you put into your system – weight loss injections with dubious side effects, covid jabs with dodgy records and Christ man…..look at your diet! Pretty much all processed, chemical laden garbage washed down with the dodgiest beer imaginable. Even Swan’s pagpag is likely healthier than what you are pumping into your body. And your first reaction at the appearance of a common cold is to lazily cut corners and go out and get what will likely be ineffective antibiotics, but contain more side effect-laden processed shit for your system to have to deal with. Try and do things naturally. Eat some vegetables occasionally and let your immune system do its job. You will feel healthier and sleep better!
