In the meantime, I’m going to keep enjoying each day as it comes. I started to say, “make the best of” each day, but maybe there are things I could be doing better (or less of). Ah well, it is what it is and my life, my choice, right?
Here’s how I chose to fill the hours yesterday:
Scott drove us out to the Binictican area on SBMA (the old Navy Base), where we commenced our Wednesday group hike. It’s got a very rural vibe about it and also hosts some housing areas that were formerly occupied by military personnel. There were cloudy skies and occasional light rain, which kept things pleasantly cool. We did take a wrong turn along the way that resulted in an additional 4K or so to our planned walk, but we still had a good time taking in the sights.
At the appointed hour, Swan and I headed into town to enjoy some quality time at Red Bar.
After Red Bar, we popped into Foodies and ordered some pancit and quesadillas for delivery to our nightcap venue, Wet Spot. We then ate, drank, and were merry until it was once again time to call it a night and head for home.
Yep, that’s how I roll, and I want to keep on rollin’ for as long as I can.
Cruising through the November 2020 archives, and without all the female drama in my life, there isn’t much worthy of note. And in this post, I notice what my life has become and decide I like it that way just fine. Going on six years later, and nothing much has changed, other than I did find some true love along the way.
For today’s YouTube video, how about a review of Filipino beers? Well, my old favorite, San Mig Zero, is no more, so I’m a full-time SM Light drinker now. The Pilsner beer and local favorite Red Horse are too strong for my tastes, so Light it is. Actually, I may try switching back to gin and soda water for a while to enhance my efforts to lose the belly. We’ll see; there are unpleasant consequences that come with the hard stuff occasionally.

Re: SBMA
Is that a private “gated” area now? If not, why is it so much better maintained than other areas? Is it pretty much self contained with restaurants, stores, bars, etc. Mainly locals there or an expat community?
Re: horse with mask
Not sure if that was a facetious question or not, but the mask is there to keep flies and other bugs away from its face and eyes. (my sister lives on a farm and has horses, so my answer is almost straight from the horses mouth! LOL)
