Yesterday’s Hash was refreshing in its easiness–a mostly flat 4.5K walk on the streets and beaches of Barretto, Baloy, and Matain. It even featured a refreshing beer stop at Laharny’z on Baloy. On-Home was at the Smokes and Bottles resto-bar, a pleasant venue in Matain.
After the Hash, I enjoyed some additional adult beverages at Snackbar, then took a trike back home. Had some chat with my sweetie Swan (who has zero interest in Hashing) and then hit the hay. The power went out around 4 a.m., and I woke up a sweaty mess. But the day has gone better since.
More on today, tomorrow.

Laharny’z
In French, le harnais means “harness.” Is that name related to the French word?
I do get the “Chico and the Man” reference. Vague memories from childhood.
With that cloud cover, I hope your walk wasn’t as hot as usual.
Nice pics of the beaches. Even the filthy areas acquire a certain charm when they get folded into a narrative.
I’m not sure about Laharny’z, but I think it is a play on the owner’s name.
It’s weird, but I wound up looking up Freddie Prinz (the star of Chico and the Man) on Wiki. I remembered that he was a suicide, but I didn’t know that his son, Freddie Jr. became a bigger star than his daddy ever was. Somehow in my Hollywood ignorance, I’d missed that.
The clouds and a few rain drops made it feel *almost* cool on the walk.
Better to find a glove without a hand than a hand without a glove.
Chico And The Man was watched religiously in my younger days. Along with other classics like All In The Family, The Jeffersons, Police Woman(had a crush on Angie Dickinson), Good Times(Dyn-O-Mite), One Day At A Time(had a crush on Valerie Bertinelli) and many others. Have 200 TV stations today and can’t find anything to watch but back in the 70’s had 4 stations and was glued to the TV.
Looking at those beach pics I see that many of the homes are almost in the water. If a tsunami hits, those folks are goners. Does a tsunami ever cross your mind? You are in good shape if one ever hits since you are up in them hills.
Them Filipinas don’t play around. Emperador and Jose Cuervo. Ouch!
I never want my nickname to be “I suck Dick”. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but “I Eat Pussy” is more like it.
Take Care McCrarey, Peace Out!
A true connoisseur of 70s television…well done, Soju!
No, I rarely think of a tsunami hitting town. I’m assuming the natural bay barriers would hinder a big impact, although there are signs around town directing folks to tsunami evacuation areas. But hey, if COVID didn’t kill me, nothing will, right?
Yep, those brown skinned beauties can put away the hard stuff. Double entendre intended!
