For today and this week. Your home stands at the top of the “Golf World”. Congrats! Much celebration tonight.

Yes townhall meetings are being a bit rowdy. But, if you see the news both sides are complicit. I read an interview earlier today where a guy went to an A. Specter townhall. They actually used 2 buses and a van to deliver SEIU and ACORN people to the townhall. Now understand that these were not local constituents but people who were bused-in. They get off the bus and start chanting “What do we want? Health Care. When do we want it? Now”. Sometimes you just have to recognize that people can disagree and still remain friends. So, let me propose this: I’ll copy mine and your comments and we will present them to your parents and your in-laws along with my parents. Since these are some of the most affected people (and have contributed their service to this country and paid taxes for years), we can see what they say about the goverment being that involved in these decisions. Just let me know where and when.

John: Well, I guess there is really no debate with Fortunate. When you can make a statement like this: (“The elderly should come last when dispensing resources from the government. Wow that was hard to write and I pray my parents and in-laws don’t see it”). That truly says it all. This person is either crazy or a true Socialist/Marxist/Communist. My first question for anyone from the government who wants to give my parents end of life counseling is, have you had yours? It is no wonder that you moved to S. Korea, have stated that is now your home and that you will retire there. I’m afraid that’s what’s happening in the US. If the truth be known this person’s father is probably a military retiree (given our age group). And now we can just throw them out because they are considered non-productive. WOW! Is correct. I don’t care if you are Catholic, Christian, Muslim, Atheist or Agnostic. That is humanly immoral. Jeeeeeezzzz how could anyone have made that statement?

Looks like I picked a bad time to be getting older…

Not a lot of individual chocies under this plan. And yes it has not been finalized. But, under all 4-5 versions it gives the goverment to much say.

What she said

In this case Fortunate is wrong. 😛 The only thing that has been released is a “Certificate of live Birth”, which in the 60’s anyone could obtain in the state of Hawaii. There-in is the controversy. A Certificate of live Birth was/is used to establish state residency so that you can obtain a drivers license, register for school….ect. A true “Birth Certificate” lists the hospital, doctor, county and city of birth. Anyone can goto the official “Obama” web site and see that what is shown is the C of L B. Not the actual birth certificate. I personally don’t care. Again, what I am concerned about are his policys, associations and agenda. Throw in the lies about those associations and the fabrications/exaggerations in his book “The Dreams of my Father”. I personally just don’t trust this guy. His father had a number (?) of illegitimate children that he did not support. Heck even Obama was dumped on his grandparents after his mothers death with no support from the father. Yet he chooses to “Lionize” him in the book (his father was a local leader/politician in Kenya) simply to imply he was raised in/by a family of public service.

Fortuneate was correct. I mis-spoke about the poll numbers (52% disapproval today). To clarify, 80% say they are satisfied with their health care. Being satisfied and disapproving are 2 different things. 😳 Even I recognize that we do need reform. Just not this reform. I did have a hearty laugh when she (Paglia) referenced slippery promises. “Slick Willy” and all that. Other than the the Inteligence and military, which Bill Clinton seem determined to undermine, he was not a bad president. He in fact reformed welfare. When you applied and had 2 kids you received support at that level. Anymore kids and the premiun did not increase. You were given x-time and in-order to extend that time you had to be in a job training program. All very fair and realistic social goals. I do think he was given far to much credit for the economy. With-in the 1st year (maybe 2) of the Bush administration, Enron, MCI-World Com, Aldelphia and Tyco crashed due to fraud. The sub-prime mortgage fiasco was already brewing. Throw in 9/11 and Bush was dealt a heck of a hand. When someone says that kicking-up a cloud of dust to obscure the issue that’s a fair statement. But isn’t that what the Democrats did with the war protests ignoring all the economic disasters that were happening and brewing? Then blamed everything on Bush. Carter signed the CRA and Clinton enhanced it. That’s why the economy is in the shape it’s in. The CRA (Community Rejuvination Act)though well intentioned (the road to you know where is paved with good intentions) has been an economic nightmare. Questioning this presidents mentors, friends and finacial supporters is fair game in my mind. Asking him to show his records, birth or school, is fair. So why does he not produce them. All other candidates have. I thought McCain not releasing his wifes finacial data was a bit iffy. But, since they were married they have filed seperate tax returns. After all it was her inheritance. And when thay got married McCain was not an elected official. The bottom line to me is that there is a total agenda. Just speaking to a portion, such as health care, does not paint the entire picture.

Here we go again!

John, I hate to even post my comments now but, I will. I’ve read LTG for several years. And as I have posted to Dennis I have been back through the archives and comments. I know who Kevin is (or certainly think I do). I hope you really read my comments and know that I would never reply in anger to you or your son. LTG is alot more light hearted. “La Dolce Vita”. Now that you have gotten rejuvunated (blogging) and quite good with the camera it really is a pleasure. I remember back some time ago when someone posted that “John must be in one of his moods again”. You certainly over-came that. Unlike some of your friends, I’ve never been to Korea. So it really is an education. I do need to understand the points thing with the darts though. I know about closing out the numbers but that’s all I’ve ever played. Who ever closed out first won. But, that’s for another post. Thanks for the entertainment. 😎

Fortuneate: Please allow me to try and connect the dots. The whole thing with the CCX and Obama, as I see it, are the false representations he (Obama) has given. Yes he indeed said more than not consulting with Ayers. He in fact said it was just some guy in the neighborhood that he really did not know. If you have looked at the facts you will also note that Ayers wife, Bernadine Dohrn, worked at the same law firm where Obama met Michelle. To be on the same board of directors (share offices), live in the same neighborhood, meet your wife at the office where Ayers wife works and have Ayers kick-off your political career is not conspiracy it is fact. Surely you can see that the relationship is far more than what he has claimed. When you say he (Ayers) is the “model of rehabilitation” surely you have seen or read his own comments that he would not have changed a thing. In fact he said he wishes he had done more. He changed his approach? He lies like Obama? His accomplishments are impressive? So are Ted Kennedy’s but, he is still guilty of intoxicated manslaughter and hid like a coward till he sobered-up. That’s rehabilitation? They bombed locations in DC and a Police station where lives were lost. Ayers girlfriend was killed making bombs. Ayers only got off for a legal technicality. Those are facts not innuendo or conspiracy. Ira Einhorn whom I mentioned (which you can google and see the connection with Specter), along with Ayers, were all part of the 60’s-70’s counter revolution. Obama welcomed (with behind the door discussions) Specter into the Democratic Party giving the Democrats their 59th senator. There are in fact legitimate questions that this administration refuses to answer. You admit that you know Al Gore, the present “King of Earth Day”, is invested in CCX. So is Obama. Surely you can see how the dots are connected. Or you refuse to see. The Health Care issue is about control (along with the take-over of AIG, Chrysler and GM). When 80% of the country says that this particular bill is bad, well, why is it a crisis and has to be passed now. You mention that both Dem’s and Rep’s are working on resolving the differences. Well, yes, after this bill was totally written by the Democratic leadership. Now, we the people and the Rep’s want to have some input. Yes people tend to get mad when they ask questions and are just blown off. I am not a registered Dem or Rep. I’m just a single dad trying to do the best I can and understand what impact this is going to have on me. Finally, what does this have to do with Kevin’s comment? Like you, “Old people of both sexes and young people of both sexes outnumber middle age white men, now add in middle age nonwhite men. Our country is made up of more than middle age white men”. You both are using sexism/racism/age to justify your argument. Just as this administration is doing to avoid answering valid questions. That is simply not right.

Those were the days

Fortuneate: I did clearly state that the Obama poster gave the impression of racism (if not down right racist). No I don’t spend my time reading blogs. I do read the news and try to parse what I read from fact and fiction. The reference to the CCX is as stated. Obama and Ayers were on the board of the Woods Foundation that funded them. Ira Einhorn (the god-father of global warming) is real and yes Arlen Specter was his attorney (connect the dots). Estimates are that Al Gore has earned $700 million from traveling the globe giving speeches about the subject. If that does not raise concerns about Cap and Trade then maybe you are correct I’m just a lost soul (an old white guy in blue jean shorts). I don’t know all the facts, far from it. However, for Obama to say he does not know a guy he clearly does? Well at the least that is disingenuous. What I do see is one party vilifying the other. The party of “no” and all that. Do I approve of that? No. Is the liberal media a part of the disinformation. Yes they are. Kevin’s comment: “”And I find it very interesting that all these people that are speaking out and raising “legitimate concerns” all look the same. They are all white, mostly middle aged and mostly male. I’ve also noticed jean shorts seems to be their fashion of choice. These people do NOT represent a majority of this country. Not even close”. Does that not speak of a bit of anger? I also clearly stated that, in it’s present form, this health-care bill is what people are opposed to, not that reform does not need to happen. I said the same for C&T’ “As written”. It’s not me who is openly calling people racist. It is this administration who is using that to rebut any dissent. The way I see some of the frustration is that people are not getting clear answers to their questions. Jeez these guys/ladies have not even read the bill so they can’t give clear answers. They just say we are going to pass this and the heck with you we won! Your very 1st couple of sentences were an attack directed at me. All I did was to point out a different view so that Kevin would weigh both sides. I’m sorry if my comments offended anyone. “La Dolce Vita”.

An American tradition

Kevin: 1st I assume you have not seen the same style poster of Bush in Vanity Fair (circa 2007/2008) The Bush poster is a bit more to character (movie version evil), than the Obama one. There are also posters of Bush as a vampire biting Lady Liberty. However, the Obama poster does speak to racism, with the more predominant white face, and of course socialism. So yes that is a double standard (attack one but not the other). You speak of old (middle age) white guys in jean shorts which goes light-years to show your own prejudice. You are basically correct, at the moment, about taxes. As the Bush tax cuts expire next year the middle class is going to be hit very hard. 80% of people polled say they do not want this particular health-care bill. 80% say they do not want cap & trade as it’s written. That is a majority. The liberals have used protests (sit-ins, out right anarchy) since the 60’s. Yet now if conservatives say anything it’s racist or worse anti-American. Isn’t that what you have been saying for the last 8 years. Aig is now government controlled. GM & Chrysler are now government owned. Is that not socialism? The “not the majority” are the people who are going to shoulder this deficit. It’s easy for the liberals to cast stones but, not so easy for them to be thrown back. Bush/Darth-Cheney have been more vilified than any administration in my memory. Liberals said we went to war over oil. Just where is that oil? Last I looked it’s over $65 a barrel with gas in the $2-4 range. Liberals say that Bush/Cheney lied about the intelligence (WMD) leading into the Iraq war. Yet Bill/Hillary Clinton have stated they saw the same reports. It is estimated (conservatively) that during Hussein’s 30 year reign that he murdered/killed over a million people. Just how large of a WMD does a free society have to witness before they take a stand? I could go on all day pointing out things you don’t see. Google Ira Einhorn, the author of global warming, Arlen Specter was his lawyer and was his attorney fighting extradition back to the US. Oh, they found his girl friends body in a trunk after he fled to France. Needless to say, him, Abbey Hoffman, Ayers and many more were community activist/protesters. Yet, you again, attack conservatives for voicing any dissent. The Chicago Climate Exchange, the only corporation in the US certified for all 6 green-house gases, was funded by the “Woods Foundation”. Who was on the board? Obama and Ayers. Yes, that Ayers, that shared offices with Obama for 2 years. The same Ayers that kicked off Obama’s political career at his home with a social. The same Ayers that lives in the same neighborhood. “Oh, I don’t know him. He was just some guy that lived in the area”. Who is on the board of the CCX right now? All members who are affiliated with Clinton and Gore. Your anger is misguided. This congress is passing legislation they don’t even read. All in the interest of creating a one party system. What is a one party system? Socialism. Again, I could go on and on. But this is not the forum. LTG is “La Dolce Vita” (The Sweet Life). Do a little more research. You might understand a bit more. Give-em hell at the darts….John

Dennis, For me things seem to work fine. I can go back to Dec.04 and see the posts and the comments. When John posts a video, as he mentioned, the 1st slide is blank but the 2nd is the real deal. So maybe there are multiple probs. Possibly on your end. I can even use a different link and go back and see all the comments history. Just so you know….????

Ok John, Let me add my worthless 2 cents. Great photos. Great descriptions. Very, very good posts. I think most of your readers are sitting here on Friday night in the US wondering how the heck we can get to Bali. Oh, and I see that the North has not wiped out your web page….ha ha

Dennis, I see the photos fine if you are referring to the posts. Setting? If you are saying the John’s photo gallery you are correct. Those haven’t worked since John rebuilt his PC. Ok John I gave you a compliment on your improvement in photography skills. Fix the gallery. Just kidding.

Blowin’ in the wind…

Well John you must have received some good smoke. Excelent posts. I do not have a clue what is going to happend here in the US. I do know when they tax the middle so much that it’s not worth working……it’s time to look at moving over-seas. The MSM not only has no credibility they have resorted to flat lies. Yet the far left acts as if it’s all true. Yesterday the house passed the “cap-&-trade” bill. So now it goes to the senate. Even Obama has admitted it will send energy costs to double what they are. How am I, or should I say, why should I work for nothing. The US as we knew it is gone. Or will be shortly. Just the way it is.

The new masthead is really nice. Great job. I haven’t commented lately. It’s been 100 degrees here in the Lone Star. I guess my brain has been on simmer.

Quite an interesting few posts. I think Kim once again is just being Kim (I hope.) China, as you are well aware, could shut him down at the snap of a finger. After all they own our debt now days and certainly want us to pay them back. That and the fact we are one of their biggest customers. Oh well. Here’s an interesting you-tube. A little over the top but darn good acting.

“Obama has recently completed the most successful foreign policy tour since Napoleon’s retreat from Moscow”

“Tea Party” It’s funny reading all the chat about this. It started as just a tax protest but is morphing into much more. Now people are starting to get serious about identifying both Dem’s and Rep’s who voted for all this nonsense and looking at 2010 to start voting them out. Very interesting indead. Of course all the Lib’s are trying to flood the boards to block any conversation. And they said Rep’s are obstructionist. Getting better all the time. As I said in a much earlier comment. BO will not destroy the US. People are waking-up. BO is demonstrating more and more he doesn’t have a clue. And his Geo-Ecology guy says they are considering shooting pollutants into the atmosphere to block the Suns rays. This is becoming great theater. Hey we are the talk of the free world.

Ho Hum

Good darting John. Don’t worry about the rocket thing. We have a plan. We are going to send Kim Jong 25 DVD’s, wrong format of course, he’ll be so tied up trying to figure out how to play them it could be years before we hear from him again. Then BO (something smells in the White House) is going to send Khomeini an iPod of BO’s best speaches. Khomeini will be so dazed he’ll be wandering in the desert for the next few years chanting: It’s all Bushs fault. It’s all Bushs fault. It’s all Bushs fault. And that drug-cartel mess on our southern border…Hillary took care of that…it’s all our fault. Of course the world knows we aren’t going to say or do anything. Nobody wants to lose their place in the soup line. I’m really looking forward to Easter. When ol-Peter-Cotton-Tail comes by I’ll be waiting. We’re going to have us some meat on the table this year. Keep up the good posts…lol

It pays to advertise…

Actually John, after your non-self-imposed-hiatus, there have been some pretty good posts. Maybe some time off reinvigorated the juices. Or it could be the heart-burn from reading all the doom and gloom Obama is creating. And you did play a nice game of dodge-ball with Euro. I had to laugh and wonder how you were going to handle that one. I’m sure over time the hits will pick-up. It is the weekend, happy darting.

Stones in the road

Very good link John. Some of the things a lot of people are feeling but are to afraid/shy/unsure how to express. As I tell friends: Obama will not destroy this country. People are waking-up and seeing where this is leading. Unlike other countrys that have moved toward true socialism it will not fly here. He/they forgot the 2nd amendment. Americans are quick to fall for the trick once. But, we catch on fast. BO is running out of free passes. 2010 I’m sure will show a very different voter turn-out.

I am not depressed

The good news is! You are right we survived Carter and we will survive this nut. As quick as he is changing things they can be changed back. I think 2010 is not going to be a good year for Pelosi, Reid, Dodd and Franks. For that matter there are a # of Rep.s who are going to get tossed as well.
