Ain’t that the shits?

I’ve had that situation of “is it a fart or LBM” on occasion and usually have guessed right. But I’ve never had a case where I pooped during my sleep. I can only surmise that the sphincter just relaxed and unbeknownst to me, let things flow as it were.

Well, I trashed the second pair of underwear. I’ll have the helper give the mattress and bathroom a good scrubbing tomorrow… tonight I’ll be sleeping in a hotel…

I’d be laughing too if it were anyone but me…

Thanks for link. My domestic helper is off for the weekend, but I’ll put her to work on this tomorrow!

A day

HaHa! Yes, I think I have that covered. Afterwards, MaRissa made the comment “I thought you weren’t religious?”. I told her I’m not. She said then why were you repeating “OH GOD! OH JESUS!” during sex?

Glory days

Greg, yes 267 to be precise. I went from being basically sedentary to walking two or more hours per day, so that was a big part of it. The other major lifestyle change was going on a low-carb regimen. No sweets, breads, or other carb rich foods. Lately I’ve been forgoing lunch, but eating most everything else I want. Hopefully I can maintain a sub-200 weight this way. Otherwise, I kick the carbs again.

» Posted By John McCrarey On 04/August/2018 @ 8:00 am

Yeah, as long as I stay under 200 I’m going to enjoy what I enjoy eating. That was always my motivation.

Taking stock

Thanks, guys. Yes, I will continue to live large. At least until I can’t!

Yes, electricity is not a bargain here. On a par with Korea if not more expensive.

Decision day

Yeah, I take it a pipe somewhere burst and it’s a major fix, hence the delay. Surprisingly, my power has been pretty reliable. ZAMECO has a pretty good reputation as I understand it, at least comparatively speaking.

Well, the smart ones have a back up generator and water storage tanks on the roof. I was considering the generator but had no idea water would ever be an issue. Hopefully after this “major fix” the water will be reliable.

Yeah, outages happen in the first world too. The difference is that in the USA they’d work 24/7 on the repairs. I don’t get the feeling that the same sense of urgency happens here.

Hash trash

Haha! Nope, not going down that road. Again….

If it ain’t one thing…

She’s been staying with a friend still, I think her plan is to go home today and sort out the mess. I offered to help out if she needs to replace things, so we’ll see if she takes me up on that.

Sleeping at the Pub

Well, maybe halfway through my first rainy season and all I can say is they sure don’t exaggerate about that! Locals say this is the worst in many years though.

The hotspot wifi is working surprisingly well for everything I need to use it for…even watching youtube videos. Good thing too since the CATV people were a no show yesterday…

The dog days of summer

Haha! That is hilarious! It popped up in my FB feed, but I knew I’d seen it somewhere before. Great minds think alike and all that!

» Posted By John McCrarey On 20/July/2018 @ 4:36 am

Yes, there is no other possible explanation for that captcha code. The truth will set you free.

I believe the link you sent me had a section of how to discipline bad dog behavior. Surprisingly it said that punishment was a reward, because dogs love attention. It suggested turning your back and not giving the dog any attention was a better course of action. Well. I took a hybrid approach…yelled and shook my finger, then ignored Buddy for awhile….ha! I’m old school. That’s how I disciplined my kids too….

As you were

Yeah, I’ll judge her based on her actions, not her beliefs. Not sure I’m going to go there anyway, but she is very cute and seems sweet. We’ll see.

A matter of perspective

Thanks, Soju. Yes, I’m still legally married. No motivation to hassle with the legal shit and there are tax advantages to filing as married. I agree that Korean gals on the prettiest I’ve seen in Asia. On the outside anyway.

Good luck with your future retirement in 4 years, 11 months, and 14 days. Life’s an adventure. Make it fun whichever option you choose!

Damn

Haha! She (the housekeeper) doesn’t know. I don’t share those kinds of details with her. I’m more of a “put more diet coke in the fridge” kind of guy as far as she is concerned.

Well, it is interesting. I just had a longish chat with Marissa. She apologized profusely for disappointing me and called herself a “bad girl”. Well, I assured her I didn’t think she was a bad girl at all, just someone who didn’t have feelings for me in the way I’m looking for. There does seem to be an element of miscommunication between us, but if she is incapable of expressing what she does feel for me, it has the same result of leaving me feeling unfulfilled.

I’m going to give it a break and see how I feel after some time passes. Of course, the downside to dating someone who works at your “home” bar is that avoiding her now requires me to miss out on darts, at least on the days she works. Like tonight.

Ah well, life goes on.

Lucky Brandon! Hopefully tomorrow will be brighter! Raining again now….

Breakthrough

Thanks, guys. Yeah it is like a complete change…now he wants to be petted and loved on all the time….

It’s snot bad

Kev, I’m sure he’s not too old. I probably will get him fixed as it’s the responsible thing to do as a dog owner. There are way too many underfed and uncared for dogs walking the streets of this town already.

He’s really warming up now. Even got my first kiss this morning!

Goal achieved

Thanks, Brandon.

You’re the second person to suggest a pressure cooker. Never tried but will have to look into that. Thanks for the link on tenderizing as well.

Bought the scale at the PX years ago brought it with me here. It has a setting for kgs, although I’ve been old school when it comes to the metric system….

Rescued!

Thanks, Thirsty!

» Posted By John McCrarey On 06/July/2018 @ 10:08 am

Thanks, Kevin. Rescued your comment from moderation…

Yes, going to need to be patient with Buddy while he adjusts and adapts. So far, he seems to be doing much better than before. Doesn’t want to walk on a leash, but I’ll give him so time. He saw the downstairs lady through the window just now and he’s growling, so I’m taking that as him kicking into watchdog mode, which I like!

But yeah, sae ong ji ma seems to be true…I found a girlfriend and a dog in the same week! Should I be worried now?

» Posted By John McCrarey On 05/July/2018 @ 6:55 pm

Yeah, I was impressed with the way those trike drivers worked together to save
Buddy. The wader earned an extra 500 pesos!

The lonely Hash

Fair points, Thirsty. I will restrict future ass photos to those of the female gender.

Been almost two months now, but I get your point. Will try and chill out and focus on what I have, not what I’m missing.

Well, my house was ten minutes into the Hash so there was no need this time. I’d definitely offer it up as a beer stop in the future though…

» Posted By John McCrarey On 04/July/2018 @ 7:43 am

Kevin, yeah we walk through private property with apparent impunity. It freaks me out a bit in the squatter’s villages. We just go walking through like we own the place. Everyone seems friendly though. Except the dogs.

Well, the farmers I think own the land they farm. Or they are farming it for the rightful owners. My sense is the government is not a big property holder here. From what I understand, the squatters have rights and it requires lengthy court proceedings to move them off your land once they have established themselves there.

But people seem to be friendly to us Hashers as we meander through…

Strikeout

I’ve been waiting a LONG time…

» Posted By John McCrarey On 04/July/2018 @ 7:17 pm

No, I’m sure she doesn’t read the blog. I guess anything is possible, but my impression is that I’m not the one she’s looking for. And I wouldn’t want her to settle for less. Although honestly, that may be what I’m doing with her anyway. I’ll just let it go and wait for someone else to come along.

I’m beginning to lose hope for the dog. What will be will be.
