Thanks for the reply.
Yes , I encourage you to explore things with this exotic lady . This life of yours could benefit from introducing a new character β¨οΈ
I am not sure about this Blue Butterfly, without re-reading your bar reviews I’d hazard a guess and say it’s not one of the highly-rated, or maybe is the one with all the live music. π€ Either way, it won’t hurt to get another regular hangout spot into your rotation ; especially after the cold shoulder from patrons at your dart bar .We can all count on you to have a favorite lady at each bar you visit, and to eventually pluck up the courage to make an attempt at a relationship of sorts π
It may be a feeble gesture or romance, but you can do itAs for the bellend, I was thinking of the Thumbstar manager. We all agree that he’s a bit of a wanker.
More British slang for you.
Do not attempt to use any of these words» Posted By James On 11/August/2022 @ 1:34 pm
Get well soon.
We all know your feelings about the covid situation.
Hopefully, you don’t experience the full effects.
In the event that you feel better, allow me some vitriolic abuse aimed towards your recent behavior.
Much of it is what you’ll be thinking or feeling, but a stranger on the internet has the appropriate words to convey.‘ a sister of a friend’s girlfriend ‘ is already quite convoluted. That the person was instructed to contact you to buy a birthday cake π for such a stretch of an acquaintance confirms my suspicions.
You’re the mark, the sap , the simp, the bank that grants loans never to be repaid, the schmuck, the village idiot, the walking ATM. As soon as I read the first line of your paragraph I knew you’d get no word of thanks . She just whistled and expected you to come , with the cake π no thanks necessary π That she even deemed it important to talk to you when you delivered the cake π is in itself amazing . People don’t usually show gratitude for an obvious expected act.But you’re a happy sap…a relatively rich sap. In fact , you willingly partake in this hoodwinking simp behavior… I guess I should congratulate you for staying consistent. Your friends , foreign and local, are now comfortable enough to refer strangers to you to get financial help. The bell π has been rung ; you’re the schmuck people can come to for easy money π° π€
The fact that you’ve been having such a lousy experience in bars with people whose job it is to pretend to be polite to you because you literally pay for their company π π That is a different level of sadness πNow you’re gonna plan an elaborate way to avenge this slight ….by not visiting the said bar for a few months, and not responding to the pleas of the lady, but you’ll definitely be charitable to her cousin’s boyfriend’s sister π
You’ll angrily walk past the bar for the next few weeks, and the withholding of your money from the establishment will give you solace . Then all will be forgotten and you’ll visit again, with the same results.I would like to end this diatribe with a positive message βΊοΈ
At least you have your health
And you have your money π°So that’s good π
As long as you’re happy π π
We all have roles in this society» Posted By James On 27/July/2022 @ 6:52 pm
Thanks π π I’ll have to read up on that.
But I was jumping off from your mistreatment at the hands of the bargirls at several of your favorite drinking holes , and how you responded by purposefully ignoring the offending parties on your subsequent visits.
I guess it’s not so much vengeance as much as it is the customer’s right. Of course, your generosity in the bars is already quite high π so any reduction in your expenditure is quite noticeable.
Nevertheless, your battles with these kinds of things really fascinates me.As to the recent encounters with your former lover and the Dick , do you think there’s a mental health issue at play ? I mean, there’s a level of obsession and idiocy that permeates the entire persona of this individual. Or maybe it’s just the obvious rampant alcoholism combined with the adled brain. Somebody needs some hobbies , and maybe a friend or 2 , or to adopt a stray cat .
Come to think of it, I am now starting to think you with your lonesome habits and lifestyle are the most sane person in your town.
Other than Dave the businessman, not many of the expats that you write about seem to have planted genuine deep roots in the place you all call home. Even he is involved mainly on the business side of things, and spends his time traveling to other locales for many reasons. I guess that’s the real meaning of semi-retired life : the ability to freely relocate coupled with the rather shallow connections to any one place. As your readers, we all look forward to a time when you start traveling to other places . The stories you tell from there will be just as exciting, but with new characters.

Great to see you back to your old self π
Well, ‘old’ is probably not the best way to put it.I’ve always admired how your life is so driven by a sense of vengeance. You never forget a slight , whether real or imagined.
It’s almost as if that’s a primal driving force that has led to many of your life’s successes. Revenge is as good a motivation for success as any , probably even better than most. One day I’d like to read about your stellar career in the government…at least the non-classified version of it. I imagine that you were a tough but fair negotiator, and an inspiration to many in your organization. That would be a good trip down memory lane.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of ale to be consumed in your neighborhood, and a lot of lasses to be ogled.
Thank you for your writing βοΈ as usual

Good for you.
You’re well on a your way to health.
Is not consuming beer π€ a little difficult for you? I’m not a drinker so I assume all alcohol is the same in terms of giving you excitement. But it seems like your behavior on beer and on whiskey is different, and you’re struggling to enjoy your nights out as a result?
As for the water weight
A wise man told me that you’d need to increase your water intake in order to lose water weight. It’s counterintuitive: you drink more water π§ on your daily exercise, and you’ll lose more water weight.
And an even better way to lose weight is to drink 2 cups of water before your meals. And if you want to keep having that buzz from alcohol for a longer time: drink 1 cup of water with every alcoholic drink. The person who told me this did lose a lot of weight with this water π§ diet….but he also took up cycling π² so that helped.
Good luck on your journey to health
I hope nobody points at your big belly in the futureThanks for your writing as usual

Wow.
If you were able to get such a good lady with that huge belly, I am sure you’re just gonna be fine in your thinner version .I haven’t been reading enough to know who Marilou is, but I am glad to see that you’ve got your hopes up.
What’s happening π with your bargirl friends π€ Is that tit-for-tat for their misdeeds?
Usually you’d show your displeasure by not patronizing the establishment at all . Maybe Cheap Charlie’s is your home bar πΈAs always
Thanks for the writing βοΈ» Posted By James On 27/June/2022 @ 8:24 pm
Well, fair enough π π
Rather be the doting grandfather instead of the lucky old randy man who spends time with girls who are young enough to be your granddaughter. In any case, she doesn’t really have an interest in your fun adventures except for the occasional visits. But maybe if you were more adventurous in your travels, jumping into volcanoes π or camping overnight in the middle of the Arctic circle….
But the beer women walking πΆββοΈ π thing only entertains us the office drones because we wish to be in your place, other than that π people have varied interests. And as we’ve discussed many times, how you come off to people back home is not your concern. You can’t very well go around flooding their brains with your favorable opinions of your lifestyle, but you sure as hell can continue to live your life with gratitude and freedom π
No matter how many times your readers tell you that you have the best life, you can’t help but think about the haters

‘road the hash truck π ‘?Hold down the fort ? Is it an inflatable fort?
I’m gonna let Kevin give you the smackdown .All jest aside.
The trip looks like it was a lot of fun .
I’m glad you broke out of your shell and went . Despite the uncomfortable arrangements, you gave it a go and it looks like you had fun.
Never mind, I just realized that your first sentence means that you didn’t actually stay overnight but joined the campers in the morning..i guess you’re a man of certain comforts.Speaking of comforts, you’ve been known to crack a few risquΓ© jokes even in the company of ladies. Do most of them get your humor? The westerners will probably understand the jokes, and they may laugh uproariously but I think maybe the ladies might giggle π in politeness rather than genuine mirth. But then again, who could tell the difference π€
At least you know that you make your readers smile π and your grandchildren cringe in embarrassed laughter π or groans.
That’s if they read to the end ….after the pictures πΈThe readers have voted to have the puns before the pictures πΈ

Today
Just the 2 commentsThis Joy, is the second Joy you have become entangled with. Seems to be she’s your number 1 on this FWB pole .She just may be actually the happiest relationship you have had on those shores. By that I mean she’s quite happy with the arrangements and she’s very much in control of the happiness faucet. She calls π when she needs the happiness, and you respond. Unlike the others whom you keep at arm’s length, you have a modicum of fondness for her.
I’m sure her husband also appreciates your fondness and the joy you will bring for the family πͺSecond comment is to commend you on your style. In all the pictures I see you shun the casual tropical look of a ratty T-shirt and old rumpled shorts with sandals, and especially the sleeveless shirts that your friends and foes may wear.
Instead , you either have a buttoned T-shirt with a collar or even a regular shirt as if you’re going to the office on casual Friday. I’m impressed. If I didn’t know any better ,I would say that the military life has given you this formal dress sense and you don’t do it just to impress the ladies.Of course, everything goes out of the window when you’re required to wear the colorful Hash shirt to show off your beer belly. Now that is definitely to impress the ladies, and the results speak for themselves…..anybody yell out your name on the main road recently π π? Or just in general π π

At least now you can admit that you enjoy playing the game.

Good to hear you’re making new friends .
It’s true what you say
Not to generalize or anything
But those jeepneys and trikes really make it way too convenient for people not to walk even for a few minutes π especially in the heat π π
I was shocked when I heard that even going to the jeepney stop requires a trikeMy question today

My question today
What kind of houses do they have up there in Rizal street? I’m always trying to figure out where the less-wealthy foreigners live in Barretto……Alta Vista is probably on the higher end of the market» Posted By James On 08/May/2022 @ 5:31 pm
Glad to see that you’re still in your generous mood. Alaska should probably name a drink after you , or a plate of food… you have been one of their most loyal customer. Speaking of which, I would think at least one of the girls at Alaska would have made it π€ to your mansion on a regular basis π€.
I’m surprised that the place still doesn’t have as many customers, now that the lockdown shenanigans are almost over. Do the weekend tourists from the big city not frequent those kind of bars , or is it just a day trip to the beach π€ for them π€
And I haven’t heard of your interactions with out-of-town weekend visitors ….on account of your self-reported π€ shyness. That Martin fella is starting to really thin out so much you can see the weight come off . He probably needs a completely new wardrobe. Has he changed his diet π€ as well? Somebody should be taking notes π

Congratulations on your dominant display π π At least you’re back to winning ways. I’m sure you prefer the individual tournaments or games so you can bask in the accolades π€ and adoration.
My question today is
Jessa
So her engagement just fizzled out? I was under the impression that since lockdown was coming to an end, that most of those lovestruck lotharios would return to consumate their union with their significant other. I am always assuming that most of your exes are now happily married with kids by now, or somewhat shagged up with another guy π¦ π€ if not, they risk the chance of you tempting them back with your charmAnd as for your forlorn longing for her , weren’t you recently intimate with a certain out-of-town lady π π
Man with so many options, maybe keeping a few ladies on rotation really π€ is your best bet π€ you could even rank them and afford them staggered personal time at your mansion π€» Posted By James On 05/May/2022 @ 9:22 pm

Though you stooped low enough to order pizza with pineapples πMy question to you today is
What is this Phil Health you speak of and how will it he helpful π€ for the young mother for the next 3 months π€ are the kids missing their vaccinations and need a check-up ?
I take it that you actually have the Phil Health card so you get discounts at hospitals π₯ πThe new Samantha looks good
It may work out well since you have no romantic interest….but then again, maybe if u did have some inclination that would help in keeping her away from a local handsome pinoy boyfriend π Worst thing if u start the process and she winds up dropping out cos of pregnancy….sadly it happens far too often …thanks to the Catholic teachings. Thanks again for the writing β

Looks that Aine is your new favorite. With regards to your budding romantic life, it looks like you’re not too enthused about her. She’s supportive, and partakers in your favorite activities…and yet, something π€ seems to be missing π that you keep comparing her to the ex who did not enjoy any of your activities with you speaks volumes.
But it’s early days π..

When do you meet the kid?

That’s certainly an adventurous day.
Glad to see that Kevin covered the shortfall in the bill. Even if he hadn’t, you’re still a jovial familiar face around town that everyone trusts you.
Taking the entire crew out to dinner , and them closing the bar means you’re probably their best customer π
I’m always excited to see you interact with the menfolk…I think all your readers would like to see you make some friends π βΊ male and with similar interests. You may have the lifestyle of a single man,but you never lack any female companions.
My question of the day is
Are you permitted to actually just walk around on the old base? That would be an epic hash just walking through the streets of America in Philippines π΅πAs usual

I guess the hot season comes with humidity and floods too . Thankfully no pesky mosquitoes π π
That girl looks like quite young. And small. I’m sure head comes up to your shoulder, when you’re sitting down.
My burning question today.
I know you’re fond of buying meat for your crock pot , and that you’re an excellent chef π Like any chef, you cook only for special guests on special occasions. π
The rest of the time you eat at one of the local restaurants, and feed some of your lovely friends π π Do you set apart a budget for the eating out? Oh …. wrong question πI should say, how much more in proportion does your eating out expenditure exceed that of home-cooked meals?
If I’m not mistaken, you’re not a big fan of those small eateries that serve a fistful of rice and an assortment of meat or vegetables as side dishes, each on their own small plate and only costing a dollar each?
Well, a hungry man could splash out and spend a whole 5 bucks to eat everything on the menu π π€But I digress.
You’re a Western man with western tastes. And yet you don’t frequent fast food joints but you prefer seaside restaurants with sandwiches on the menu…is it the lack of alcoholic beverages that stops you from being a Jollibee regular customer or do you fear what those burgers π will do to your heart valves and beer belly π€?The mountain kids really appreciate your generosity. Does any of your hash crew speak the Aeta languages or do the kids understand the local dialect? I guess you’re quite ok just communicating at a basic level with the families up on the mountain β° π
Wonder what your nickname π€ is to them π€
And lastly, any of those Aeta have family living downtown ….I was sure that by now one of your friendly bar attendees would be from the mountain β° Aeta» Posted By James On 26/April/2022 @ 4:44 pm
Winner Mccrarey π π₯ π π
Were you in your head again? There’s not even a question about it…. You’re living the good life and no loser can tell you otherwise
Speaking of losers, whatever happened to your erstwhile rival for your love interest? Not to dig into the old scabs or anything, but that character just sort of disappeared…. was it a mid-season off-screen disappearance to boost the ratings π€ π or is he still moping about and frothing at the mouth ….or worse, did he supplant you?,
Also, you’re taking voyeuristic pictures now ? That’s a new angle . Who’s your friend π π€
» Posted By James On 25/April/2022 @ 2:38 pm
Thank you for thinking of your readers even when the internet is down. You’re our hero.
My question today: do you make a habit of evaluating every bar girl you meet as a potential partner? I had thought that you’d offer assessment as to the shaggability factor, but noble Mccrarey looks deep inside for a meaningful connection. Interesting that age comes up often in your conversations π€ It’s just a number π the other number is the work release fee , but you’re not a man driven primarily by carnal desires.
I’m surprised that the cousin would divulge information of your financial assistance to her. Wouldn’t it be prudent to maintain some secrecy so as to protect her friend from some predatory frenemies
» Posted By James On 23/April/2022 @ 8:17 pm
Mr. Mccrarey. Did you have get an official title, a nickname or nom de guerre ? Sir Mccrarey is what the Barretto lasses call you.
My favorite line of this entry : You’re finally tired of questioning your lifestyle or your motives. Some say a sense of moral/conscience/guilt is important π
But it does hamper one’s enjoyment of life.
Rich happy people never talk about karma π Only jealous bitter people are always harping on about karma and whether they really should enjoy that one more beer πΊ
But I digressMy question to you today is : why not promote Joy to your number 1 FOB ? I mean, other than the fact that she has a live-in boyfriend, she seems to be quite okay with being seen with you in public π I am not being facetious here; there are some young girls who will enjoy the romping in private but would balk at being seen with a mature fella during daylight . Some may feel that their reputation is tarnished. Of all your special friends, Joy seems content to even be photographed to and from your dwelling, knowing not whence that image might end up. Of course this is not the first Joy you have had, but I am sure you agree that this one is rather prettier π π Of course , you’re more than likely more in the performance aspect of this encounter π, but more hopeful for that all-forgotten social aspect, the art of conversation, the human connection. 3 of your readers will be here soon to let you know that the age, social class, nationality ,race, education and interests don’t bode well for this pairing to result in a harmonious relationship, but I say π so what ?
You’re tired of second-guessing your choices and judging your feelings and actions. You don’t need to be your own hater. I’m sure you got real haters out there, why add all that stress into your life anyway.
If dinner and drinks with small talk is what you enjoy, then keep on keeping on .Yesterday you mentioned that you just stumbled upon chances and opportunities by being willing to do things you enjoyed. Here’s your chance to continue stumbling into good things. π
Historians will say of you : that Mccrarey boy just stumbled into the good life and enjoyed it π that is the best life

Anna and Ainne at Wetpot. Joy at Hideaway. Seems like you have a favorite at every bar you regularly frequent.
Did you keep up your vow to never visit that funny monkey place where Joy was fired by the boss? I know you have a long memory and you don’t overlook injustice to self or to others . Some people are driven by desire to achieve their dreams , a woman scorned burns π₯ with the vengeance to succeed to prove a point π
I would say you’re somewhat in the middle. My question today is this :
I have a friend who set out to achieve certain goals in life and career. The friend hit all those milestones at a relatively young age, then was struck by the realization that Failure to achieve goals and achieving all one’s goals has the same effect . You sort of drift along, either giving up because it seems against the odds, or being lost π€ because all goals have been met.You have worked hard all your life. And now you can put up your feet and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
My question is : how did you do it?
What’s your secret ?» Posted By James On 21/April/2022 @ 11:57 pm
John the poet. Better than that Baptist fella.
I forget. Did we ever get a story of why you elected to live in the Philippines rather than Korea? We know the how : a long saga that earned you the ‘ Technically, I’m still married to my third wife’ T-shirt. .. but why ?
With your generous pension you could still live a decent life in Korea π°π·, and enjoy the unique 4 seasons ( only country with such an invention π π ), and drink that strong ale in green bottles πΌ, not quite vodka but a spirit nonetheless.
Yet you chose to forego all that and settled on the archipelago.
Second part to my question: if South East Asia π and its fruits is what drew you there , why not Vietnam or Thailand? I heard that the melons π π Pattaya are bigger π π³ π€Had this decision been made prior to the unfortunate dissolution of your matrimonial sustenance?
As to you your conservative leanings, I’m as loathe to discuss politics as much as I abhor chatter about horoscopes. But Kevin is right as usual π I’m sure you’ll label yourself a staunch libertarian, and chastise those who suckle at the government teat as you enjoy the fruits of your long-suffering labor to Uncle Sam. As far as uncles, he’s not so bad in as much as he steals your youth but does return a bit of it if you stick around long enough π
I’m glad to see that you’re truly spreading your largesse. The dedicated weekly support of that family πͺ is something that the gods ,old and new, will grant blessings π Even if you take your vows by candlelight , there’s still mercy for those who care for widows. We don’t say it enough on this forum, but you’re a good man.
Now to add this most important line: that Annabelle is a darling β€

I’m guessing that the initial investment in solar panels is quite high, but would be perfect for those brown-out days or when a storm takes out the entire grid. I was led to believe that amount would be equivalent to a month’s salary, and a wiser woman would’ve saved a few dollars to treat herself to dinner.
But then again, being a single mom with a fairly large family is not easy. Are most of your friends not only raising their children but also bankrolling some boyfriends and unemployed uncles ?
