No a straight up and down vote is not the American and has never been the American way. Do your homework. The Democrats basis for rejecting these judges just happens to be their records and not merely because they have conservative bents. One would get the impression that there is a wholesale hold up of judicial nominees and that is simply not the case. Rather the Republicans are up in arms because there was a hold up of any at all. But that has been the norm thorughout American history.

I don’t think you looked at all. Almost everyone of these judges have a high rate of being overturned. Their opinions are based primarily on their own personal opinions and not the law. That makes them bad judges. The information is out there for anyone who takes the time to look. You didn’t look. There are very disturbing events happening in this country right now. The only thing we as American citizens have to protect us from the legislature and the extreme religous rights agenda is the judiciary. I have no desire to see that body stacked with extremists anymore than I want those brave enough to apply the law threatened with impeachment or worse as has been done in recent weeks by our own lawmakers! It is outrageous.

Im not sure what Mr. Bolton can accomplish at the UN. Clearly changes are in order but Mr. Bolton lacks the skills-diplomacy and the art of persuasion to bring about such changes.

I’m confused. I thought the US agreed with Russia that Chechnya was a terrorist state. They are the folks who killed all those children in that school. Why would anyone be protesting against Russia’s attemtps to curb terrorists?

I don’t buy your explanation. It is simply not logical. Everything mentioned in that song is current except for slavery. Pornography is a wart, a current wart that many wold not herald as an attribut but then many might. It only makes sense if the purpose of the song is to ridicule.

I am not a military wife. I do not have any small children. I haven’t learned how to be handy with tools. My motto is if you can’t do it with a butter knife better to ask someone else. But I can certainly relate to the loneliness. The coping part I am still learning. Thank goodness for work.

Just in case there was any doubt…
The newsmedia has always used freelance photographers and they have always paid for video footage of anything they thought newsworthy. This is done by every major news network, news service and newspaper, including Fox. This is not only nothing new, but everyone is aware of it. So why act surpised or get self righteious about it now? The topic itself of whether or not some of these freelance photograpers/vidoegraphers might be alinged with the insurgency ahs even been discussed in the MSM. It came up quite a bit around the time the head of CNN International news bureau (remember him?) made his comment about journalist coming under fire from American troops. In cae youdon’t recall it, one photograper/vidoegrapher who was shot was accused of workign for the insurgency because his film clip started before a car actully exploded. The photos were examined and dissected six ways to Sunday by bloggers. You appear to suffer from short term memory. Too many late nights in bars.
As for the report on 60 protesters. It is news to the extent that it shows how little a draw this group has withthe American people. I guess reporting that is not news to you?

Still that group hardly represented the msot beuatiful American women. I mean really Oprah Winfrey? Lindsay Lohan? Jennifer Anniston? Alicia Keyes? that really skinny blonde from the OC? Here is a better idea. Don’t go to bars except on odd occasions. You never use to go to bars. You sat at home and played Civ III or blogged. You filled up your entire evenings and weekends. Maybe we could play virtual scrabble or cards. Look in to it before you develop a habit that I simply will not tolerate when you return home. Sorry to sound so much like a wife, but I am the wife.

Well hopefully, they need fewer civilians since they have reduced the military presence. They could always stop paying the extortionate rents charged to Americans as well. Looks liek you will have to work a little harder but then you have nothing else to do withyour time, right?
