Back to Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center this morning for the scheduled removal of my stitches. They wound up leaving three in as the wound has not yet completely healed. Told me to keep it clean and dry and return on Friday. Okie Dokie.
In the meantime I guess I’ll just wade around for the weather to change.
Walked up to my house this morning. No sign of construction workers which is a bit concerning. They’ve turned on the water though. This I know because the pipe from the meter is busted and water was shooting up like a geyser. The security guard came by and taped it up the best he could, but the meter was still spinning like crazy which indicates a leak somewhere else as well. The guard shut it off and said he’d notify the water company. Oh boy, I got a feeling this is going to be another pain in the ass to deal with.
Otherwise, no complaints. Well, none that I’m going to bother mentioning right now at least.
How does one “tape up” a busted water pipe? Duct tape to the rescue, I guess…
Something like that…the pipe was cracked and he wrapped some elastic band looking tape around the leak. Heh, it actually worked pretty well on that leak at least. Lord knows where else the pipes might be broken…
Oh, Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling…
On the bright side, with all of the rain, you should get a good indication if your house will have any flooding problems. Any issues so far?
No, if there is flooding up in my neighborhood it will be the end of times. Walked through yesterday and didn’t notice any leaks either, so there’s that….
