Interestingly, the Cherry Blossom trees popped this past weekend In Washington DC as well. In the past week we’ve had a couple of really nice 70 degree days. Other days it feels like 50’s are really chilly. The view around Jefferson Memorial is fantastic.
Crossing the 14th St Bridge in the pm today — still looks good but we’re now past peak in DC so it looked better Friday and Monday. Your trees are looking good too (maybe it’s just that you have a window with a tree or two outside). What are those little yellow flowers near the ground? I assume they’re intentional. Not sure if dandelions are North American — maybe you have yellow pansies??
So you’re only 13 hours later now — do you get daylight saving time eventually or does ROK stay on standard time yearround?
Dick and Susan, yes the springtime here is all that was promised. I admit the cherry blossoms have caused a small bout of homesickness. I hope to go to a cherry blossom festival in Seoul this weekend to get a real taste.
And yes I believe those are dandelions. And no, we don’t observe daylight savings time here. You are correct, that makes it 13 hours difference.
