Not much to my Tuesday as usual, but no complaints about that. Grocery shopping in the morning and the beach in the afternoon.

Good music, pleasant chat, cold beer, and nice views. Does it get any better than that?

But the food was good, as usual.

That’s all there was to it for my Tuesday.
Back in the August 2016 LTG archives, and it’s my first day back to work in my new old job. Got rid of most of my American life belongings, and also got an offer to buy my house. Life moves forward even when you are looking back.
Speaking of looking back, today’s YouTube video captures the essence of life in the 70s through photographs. Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you got till it’s gone?
Time out for some memes:

And now it is time to get busy packing my bags. We are pulling out for Manila at 0500 tomorrow morning, so I need to be ready to roll. A two-week trip is a lot more challenging to pack for, especially when I’m used to having my laundry done once a week. Swan says we can have some clothes washed while we travel, so we’ll see how that works out.
Just hand-wash your stinkiest clothes in the hotel-room sink. That’s what I do when I’m walking across the country. The hotel room usually has a spot for things to hang-dry, even if it’s just a chair back or a random hook on the wall. Hotel-provided shampoo or body wash is good enough as detergent, or I guess you can buy your own detergent at a local convenience store. Just do it yourself!
Laundromats are a dime a dozen in Vietnam and cost pennies.
Re: meme on the panda
Heard a variation of the joke. The panda gets with a prostitute, orders room service, does the dirty, and leaves without paying. Same punchline, but IMO, a bit funnier joke.
Re: laundry
Should be super easy to find a laundry in Vietnam or have the hotel do it. Can’t be that expensive.
Re: Song
I was expecting Big Yellow Taxi. LOL
Have a good trip.
Actually, another song that would have fit.
Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day

Brian, I don’t remember that Green Day song. I’ll give it a listen as time permits.
Yeah, your panda joke is better!
A laundry shouldn’t be hard, but Swan says she can do it too, so I’m covered.
Yeah, I stole the line from Joni Mitchell, but I’ve used the song before, so…
Trapper, so I can buy a dozen laundries for a dime and keep the change in pennies? Sounds good!
Depending on convenience (we are changing hotels four times this trip), we’ll get it done or do it ourselves.
Kevin, yep, that’s what Swans says she’ll do. I know you have a lot of experience from your walks. I will use a laundry if it is convenient.
