Interestingly, my dad had a Longhorn bull and when he bred it with the Herefords, you got some interesting colors and patterns. The neighbors all had purebred cows, so when our bull went through the fence (which he did somewhat regularly) the folks weren’t too happy and said they better not get any spotted calves…
