I’m amazed at how quickly Lucky’s skin condition has improved. He’s growing in a nice new fur coat and his itching and scratching are greatly diminished. I deemed his health good enough to finally relent and allow him to interact some with Buddy.
For me, it just nice to have some unconditional love in my life. A dog has never broken my heart before…
Great pics of two lucky dogs being buddy-buddy. I get the impression that the pack hierarchy has already been established, but in a loving way, not in a bullying way. Lucky is Little Bro; Buddy is Big Bro, and Big Bro will now always be there to protect Little Bro whenever he’s in trouble. Otherwise, they’ll tussle and maybe steal each other’s beds (and/or each other’s food) on occasion. It benefits Lucky to be socialized into the pack, and it benefits Buddy by providing him the balance that comes from having the pack leader (you) above him and now a pack junior below him.
Yes, that’s a great assessment. I had sensed for some time that Buddy really craved some canine companionship and he seems happy with being the big dog around the house. I’m down with being the top dog too!
Good on you and good for you, John
Thanks, Frank.
That is awesome John – glad they are getting on so well together, as well as getting on so good with you.
Brian, yep. I knew Buddy would like the company and Lucky loves his big step brother….
