I remember in the mid eighties when I was last stationed in Korea the films, music and live bands were pretty much amateur compared to the west but I’m really impressed with the quality these days. – the ROK music and film industry seems to have really come in to it’s own as they have pretty much with everyhthing else too. The films, in particular, seem really well done to me.
I saw a Korean murder mystery last week on Asia Extreme entitled, Memories of Murder…..it was really well done, English subtitles, funny, dramatic, heart rending……. all the pieces. You might look for it if you have a chance.
