Ebb and flow

I hope to visit Seoul a couple of times this year so hope to be able to catch up with u (and the goat) when I do, I will have to dust off the darts, and u will need to give me a substantial start though!

Save the date!

If this isnt the best reason for you to get down to a tailors in Itaewon and get your very own custom made 3 piece white suite and black shirt with collars larger than the wings on an A380 i don’t know what is!!
Don’t forget the medallion either!!
If nothing else it would surely put off your opponents!!

Surf and Turf

That should say outside the 12 not the 2, although explains a lot about my darting skills!

Hi John,

My once in a blue moon check in!!
Keep up the good work with the healthy eating, we may need to think up a new nickname for you when you reach your target.

Is the darts picture an amazing action shot or did you nail the wire outside the 2?? 😉

A trip to the grocery store Korean style

Hi John,
Great reading all about your return trip to Korea, keep it up.
Reminds me in a way of the Bill Bryson book, which i think was called I’m a Stranger Here Myself, about returning to the States after many years away.

Hopefully you will also be able to provide a few posts on the dart league? (Hint hint!)

All the best

Meanwhile, here in Korea…

Hey John,

Glad to see you are still keeping up the good work with the blog. A few ideas for shows (none of them will tax the brain too much)
Modern Family
Burn Notice
Spartacus: Blood & Sand
And starting this weekend (14th i believe) another Spielberg / Hanks project called The Pacific. If it is half as good as Band of Brothers it will be well worth watching.

All the best

As the dart flies

Hi John,

Greetings from Jakarta.

Finally found your blog again via the forum on the dart league sites.

Sounds like you had a good time at the weekend, and congratulations on the 2nd place finish.

No darts for me out here 🙁 but i am planning a visit back to Korea in Sept / October to catch up with everyone and will be sure to bring my darts.

Keep up the good work on the blog and the darts.
Cheers

There’s always darts

Hi John,

I also enjoyed the darts on Saturday, although i didnt stand a chance in the cricket after your 9-mark.
I will have to come along to one of the Friday night tournaments at Dolce some time.

Cheers

Out of the blue, and into the black…

Hi John,

Good to see you the other week when i was playing pool at DV.
Glad to hear the darts are back on track! I made my debut in the darts league against the Blessed Bulls, they were very patient with us (3 new players out of 4!).
Needless to say i went 0-6!! But i did hit a 140…too little too late!!

Keep up the good work.
Cheers

A hard days night

Agree with Craig about reading everything you can…even if you dont understand what it means!

1 of the things that really helped me improve my pronunciation and reading was when watching cable.
Skylife always show the name of the film at the bottom of the screen, try to work out what is on next. Eventually you will find that, for example, Black Hawk Down is still Black Hawk Down just written in Hangul.

Subway

Look forward to bumping into you at the 3 Alleys sometime soon.
If you are to “far in the lead” compared to your realtor, feel free to buy my beer and Jaeger!!

» Posted By Thirsty On 26/March/2007 @ 4:14 pm

Alive!

Glad to hear you are back on your feet.

Im sure some ice cold OB and a couple of shots of Jaegermeister at the weekend will see of the cough and sore throat for good!!

Cheers

Finished with darts

Hi John,

It was good to meet you last night, obviously my plan to distract you from your darts so that 3 Alleys could win did not work!!

See you around.

My visitor

Firstly, a belated happy birthday!! Sounds like you had a good one.

As for suggestions for what to do during your sons visit, how about a Korean show?
I take all my guests to whach Nanta, non-verbal and very energetic a good way to clear a hangover!

Backstage with Dorothy

Jeff,

lol, believe me i have no intentions of keeping John for myself nor do i see you as sexual competition!!

I do have a request for John though….lets have more pool, darts and drinking (And falling over) reports!!

» Posted By thirsty On 24/August/2006 @ 6:01 pm

Jeff,

You missed my point entirely. Here it is really simple.

Why all the long rants?
I dont agree with what you say and sometimes with what John says but i respect your right to say it.
However…..you arent really getting anywhere here so why not stop wasting your time and do something else?

all the best.

Dear God!!

A simple post about a trip to see the Korean version of TWOO turns into a rambling lecture by Jeff.

Jeff, everyone has a right to freedom of speech, and although i dont agree with your comments (and sometimes Johns), havent you got something better to do with your time??
