A very phallic post (post!) indeed. I like the “every 1000 steps” thing when you do it. While I still don’t think I have the clearest idea as to what is where in relationship to each other, I do have some notion of what lies within your “neighborhood,” so to speak. Things like “every 1000 steps” help to flesh that out in my head.

John Kim is definitely a foodie. Tex-Mex is watered down from Mexican, and the more Mexican a meal is, the less likely it is to have tomatoes. This is true of chili, for example. Original Mexican chili has no tomatoes and no beans in it. It’s basically slow-cooked meat in a pepper sauce, and it’s hardcore compared to what most mainland Americans laughably call “chili.” I keep meaning to make a batch of true chili myself one day; I certainly have the means and the material, so making it shouldn’t be a problem. Anyway, a tip of the hat to John Kim, who obviously knows his stuff. Respect!

I was thinking it might be nice to set up something above your A/C that’s very diagonal so that the drops from above make almost no noise at all. But if you’re happy with your current arrangement, then I guess stick with that.
The bar sounds like an exciting project. It’s really too bad you can’t get a permanent-resident visa that might lend the project a greater air of legitimacy.

Well, at least the eternal horniness didn’t take over and lead you down the wrong path this time. We’ll call that progress. Good luck to MJ as she figures her life out. In earlier times, I’d have suggested she move to the States, where her kids could get a semi-decent (and free) public education, but these days, I’d say she’s better off home-schooling.
My inner scold wants to say she should have made better life choices, like not getting knocked up by unscrupulous Westerners, but it’s too late for that. She has to live with the consequences of her decisions. And those consequences require money to feed them. How many Filipinas are in similar situations thanks to similarly stupid decisions? Should we tattoo “DON’T GET PREGNANT, YOU FOOL” on every woman’s forehead? That, or “USE BIRTH CONTROL.” That might not fly in a Catholic country.

Sorry to hear about the eye problem. This is where health care becomes an issue when you’re in a country where you can’t necessarily trust the quality of the care you might receive. Of course, to be fair, there are plenty of nightmare stories that come out of the States, e.g., getting the wrong foot amputated, etc.
Cheap Charlies is sounding more and more like a no-go. Those bar girls strike me as utterly parasitic. Sure, they get my sympathy because they’re just trying to do their job, but it’s the job itself that’s the problem, and the whole “bargirl” drinking culture really needs to be thrown out the window. That’s not going to happen anytime soon, so it’s up to you to maintain your own peace of mind. Stay away from parasites. They suck your money and your soul.

I don’t know how the Hash works, but if they allow you the option to do what you’re doing, then more power to you. Great pictures, as usual, in spite of the wetness. We’re experiencing a bit of a cool period here in Korea right now; not sure how long it’s going to last. July and August are normally the worst of the summer months, and July is also normally the time of the monsoon. Anyway, good luck weathering the weather!

Sorry to hear that business isn’t doing so well. I’ll hold out hope that various governments finally recognize the pandemic has been over for a while, and they finally reopen their doors, quarantine-free, so struggling businesses can breathe.
Joy’s not that cute, but if she’s got a good personality, that counts for more than looks. To be fair, I’m not that cute, either.

Yeah, but when you say “8 kilometers” or “10 kilometers,” you’re walking at least partly on mountainous terrain, which makes a huge difference. I can go long on flat ground, but I’d probably lose steam on any of those slopes that you and your cohort routinely do. I’m currently having trouble walking up five flights of stairs, just to give you an idea.
So think of it this way: I walked 18K on flat ground in almost 3:45:00. You just walked close to 11K on mountainous terrain in a little more than half that time. I think you’d easily kick my ass if you did my route. After all, you’ve kicked my ass before.
