Bullshit Fortuneate. It is known as the Tea Party movement and members are tea partiers. NO ONE leading this movement self describes as a teabagger. Your article, if you didn’t know it, is a parody.

My point on the school indoctrination was that when Bush did it the left went nuts, when Obama did it, the right was crazy to mention it.
I once again note the hypricosy of the left. Tea Partiers are racist white males, but the Prez can exclude them and not be racist.

Fortuneate, actually you make some pretty good arguments here. Except they totally miss the point of what I was saying. That makes it easier I suppose.
Anyway, to briefly respond and reiterate. My post was talking about the attempts by the left to marginalize the Tea Pary folks by portraying them as racist hate mongers. Disgree with their politics if you want, but folks who sincerely believe that big government is not the answer have as much right to express their opinion as the leftie protesters you defend do.
My point was that the angry leftists do not suffer the disparagment in the media that the Tea Party folks do.
And yes, I will rag on CNN because the one positive report notwithstanding, they have been at the forefront of the Tea Party demonization effort, including calling them the sexually derogative “teabaggers”. Anderson Cooper, a real life teabagger, should know better.
So, I am sick and tired of people who don’t want to argue about political viewpoints but instead engage in the politics of personal destruction. It appears that folks must really fear the message of the Tea Party. Otherwise, why the effort at destruction?
Let the marketplace of ideas provide some choices for Americans. Last I looked, the majority was too thrilled with the Obama plans for a nanny state…

And that is called building a strawman argument rather than addressing the issues that are occurring now. Pretty weak, but understandable. I wouldn’t want to have to try and defend Obama either.
Would love you to post a link to any blog post of mine saying the things you said I said. (The closest thing I recall is the Dixie Chicks, but that was not about criticizing Bush, it was doing it on foreign soil during war).
And even if you could and I was wrong then, how does that make you right now? Are you saying that whatever Bush did excuses Obama? But then, Obama has more deficit spending in 14 months than Bush managed in 8 years…
I could go on, but until you address the arguments there is not much point, is there?

And Fortuneate, if you think higher taxes, bigger deficits, reduced health benefits, etc. are merely “fears”, then I’m curious where you are living. It has already started, sorry to say.
Believe me, it gives me no pleasure being right on the issue. We are truly and royally fucked.

Actually, the Founders established a system of checks and balances to prevent just this sort of aberration. Never in our history has such a boondoggle been foisted on the people by the controlling party. The only thing bipartisan about this was the opposition. Truly historic.

Well Goat, it gets worse. My employer (the U.S. government) has thousands of folks on the payroll for the sole purpose of keeping us thinking “right” on the pressing issues of diversity.
And I know as a Canadian you have the joy and satisfaction of paying for those Human Rights Commissions that make having certain thoughts and beliefs subject to government sanction.
We really are living in a brave new world…

I think they are honest about it. You can lean right but still report the news in a fair and balanced manner. I know FOX is consistently good about presenting both sides of the issues. People think of O’Reilly and Beck, but that ain’t FOX NEWS. The newspeople on FOX (and you have to admit, the ladies are HOT) report it pretty much straight up. Can’t say that about Wolf/Cooper/Keith, can you?
Bottom line, more people are getting their news from FOX than everyone else combined. And obviously, they ain’t all Republicans.
