Look what I made!

Haha! Dave can get his ass to Subic and take some new photos…

Thanks for the comment and feedback, Greg.

Working for a living

Samson, it is all about having years of service and age. It seems fucked up to me to try and deny an earned pension. Maybe not as fucked up as engaging in partisan politics instead of doing your job. But, yeah.

Haha! Well, listen you old so and so, we will definitely not take it that far!

» Posted By John McCrarey On 14/March/2018 @ 6:38 pm

No No! I got that, I just meant your version was better and more accurate! I also thought crossing out “basically” really emphasizes the “but only”.

In other words, I like the way you think!

Cheers!

Good point. I stand corrected. And so does the post!

On this day

Happy belated birthday, Vaster….nice coincidence.

I don’t remember Kojak, but Mork and Mindy debuted that year. Nanu nanu!

Hey, no worries though, they say 40 is the new….eh, well 40 is 40. But it beats the hell out of being 60s!

Yeah, but what does Coemgenus mean? As far as the blessings, yes indeed! Except for that Kevin who stole Loraine from me. Fuck him! 🙂

Life’s a dance

Hey soju, I’m old school. What can I say?

» Posted By John McCrarey On 11/March/2018 @ 10:33 am

I hope the BP goes down!

Alright, I made a point to verify the correct spelling of the meat formerly known as samgyapsal. I made the effort just for you Kevin! An old dog learning new tricks. Life’s a dance indeed!

Get outta town

As a matter fact soju I’m looking for someone with WordPress skills to do a PI centric masthead design for the blog.

My deputy accused me of having “short time-itis” the other day. That’s probably similar to a two digit midget.

HaHa…well, they know now and the were not pleased.

I’ll make sure we get together before I leave. This was not my last visit….

Another breakup

Yeah, that’s a good point Samson. And actually I can catch the airport limo right here in Anjeong-ri…. That’s likely the way I’ll go….

» Posted By John McCrarey On 07/March/2018 @ 9:20 pm

Thanks, Kevin. Appreciate the offer to help but I really have almost nothing to move. Let all my crap back in the USA and then of course sold it all when the dream died. I’m going to ship two boxes and anything that doesn’t fit in the suitcases will be sold or given away.

Logistically, I just need to figure out the best way to get to the airport with two suitcases, a carry-on, and my backpack. Might look to hire a car.

Cease and de-cyst

Well, I’m sure you couldn’t re-cyst trying though…..

Seoul crushing

Kevin, you are not the first to wonder about my constipation face when I do selfies. I can’t seem to help myself. I think it has something to do with trying to push the button and hold the phone steady. One of these days I’ll learn how to set the timer and maybe even manage a smile in a photo….

Samson, it is just a small neighborhood park. One block up from the main drag in Kyungridan. So heading up that road from the intersection that goes to HBC, make the first right (at the church) and then take the first left. It’s a pleasant little park designed with kids in mind.

The only thing left to save…

Brian, yeah I wasn’t doing regular BP checks before starting the prostate meds, but I still wonder if they might be the culprit. Taking all these pills is a bit of a pain in the ass as well, so I’d been down with reducing by stopping any that aren’t absolutely necessary. Will talk to the doc again next visit.

Soju, those beer studies are definitely encouraging. Beer and exercise sounds like the perfect plan!

» Posted By John McCrarey On 25/February/2018 @ 8:45 am

Well. My blood pressure is all over the map. No idea why, because I’m doing the exercise and diet stuff. I wondered if the prostate meds were counteracting the bp meds. She didn’t think so. And yes, she finally accepted that I don’t have a stent. Anyway, my goal is to get my bp back under 130. We’ll see.

Making friends

Fair points, Kevin. I’m actually a bit of a paradox I suppose. I enjoy the bars, but have no desire for a bar girl relationship. I may be destined to a life of solitude, but I can hope for a miracle.

It was about an hour to the top, took a round about way down, which was 1.5 hours. Very pleasant day.

Back to the future

Ha Ha…believe it or not, I never voted Republican until after 9/11. Sort of my wake-up call. Yeah, I’m all about less government but better to use a scalpel than a sledgehammer…

We are actually in shutdown mode as I write this and the Town Hall is postponed until later tonight pending the House vote. If we get funded I can get drunk If we don’t get funded I’ll do a Town Hall while drunk. It’s Friday night damn it!

Against the wind

I’ve been separated since December 2015. She never filed for the divorce she said she wanted, and I haven’t bothered either. I’m emotionally divorced. There are some tax advantages to being legally married, but finalizing things is on my pre-move checklist.

HaHa…well my Blue Cross insurance might reimburse around 70% of that….but yeah, I also got the waygook price I’m sure..

The only thing worse than getting older…

well, I’ve been on the blood pressure meds for going on two years. I used to be in the high 150s, now I’m in the mid 130s. It’s one pill every morning and if it saves me from a stroke, why not? It might be interesting though to see if stopping the meds makes a difference. I’ll think about it…

That’s a first

Yes, I believe that is an effective way to avoid frozen pipes. I just didn’t think about it last night. Luckily, my upstairs water was working so I got to use the shower this morning…
