Well, overall I’d say the skill level of the darters here is significantly lower than what you saw in Seoul’s A Division. A few standouts of course, and I’ve been quite impressed with the play of some of the local ladies.
Yeah, I’ve been warned. This dog has short legs and if he manages to jump my enclosure, well, good on him. He won’t be out there much anyway….

Brian, on the map the blue was the “shorter” or easier trail for those disinclined to take the long trail. The Hare marks each week’s trail, and different members (usually the more experienced) volunteer to be the Hare, so it changes week to week.

Brand new out of the box. No apparent damage. I looked on line and the same crockpot here is over $200. I paid 50 or so for this on Amazon. Found a repair shop that said they fix rice cookers, so a crockpot shouldn’t be much of a stretch, right?

Yeah, the Time cover is despicable and serves as a great illustration of just how far the media will go to push their biased agenda.
Aaron, I was in the resto the other day and a customer actually complained about Al Jazzera. The manager said that when he plays FOX, people complain about that too. He did change it though. Not sure why they don’t just put it on Discovery or something similar and leave it at that.

And oh yeah, the termites here are incredibly hungry. Just about any piece of exposed wood has been decimated. I was a little worried about the structural integrity of the house, but I’ve discovered the walls are pretty much solid concrete throughout…

Well, we’ve settled into more Korea-like monsoon weather now. A couple of thunderstorms (usually early morning and late afternoon) and then sunshine through scattered clouds throughout the remainder of the day. That’s much more tolerable for sure.
Well, the LPG tanks are similar in size to the propane tanks we use for bbq grills back home. I reckon they’ll last a similar amount of time. I’m looking forward to doing some home cookin’ again, that’s for sure….

Yes, it’s a once weekly event…every Monday here. 25 years is a lot, but the oldest kennel dates back to the 1930s with the British army in Malaysia…pretty fascinating history.
What I enjoy is seeing places I’d never find or venture to alone. Pretty challenging hikes most of the time too.

Soju, Tony and his wife have been “caretakers” for the several houses owned by my landlord, who resides in Manila. The house I’m now taking was the actual part time residence of the landlord. Tony and wife appear to be in their 50s and have lived in the basement of the landlord’s house for at least several years. They seem helpful and harmless enough.
Brian, it just seemed like a shitty thing to do to move them out of where they have been living for years. Yes, they could probably move to the other house and and set up in the servant’s quarters there. Honestly though, it makes me feel a little more secure having an extra set of eyes on the my place when I’m not around. If they ever prove to be a problem, I can send them on their way…

Thanks for the links, Kevin. To me, rain gear is pointless here…you’d get just as wet from sweat. Now, maybe I need to get me some different footwear, crocs or some such shit. My sandals and flip flops are not working out as waders….

Something like that…the pipe was cracked and he wrapped some elastic band looking tape around the leak. Heh, it actually worked pretty well on that leak at least. Lord knows where else the pipes might be broken…

Brandon, I didn’t buy a washer yet but it is on my list. Honestly just need to get in the place and get a feel for where everything will best be placed. I’m pretty sure the washer will have to go in the dirty kitchen/maid’s quarters area downstairs.

Well, when I post after 10 p.m. you can pretty much count on it being a drunken post. I know everything you said in your comment to be true (except maybe the vampire part) and I certainly need to be cautious and not get into the settling for less mode.
Funny thing is, if I was just horny I could easily take care of those needs. There are many girls available for “take out” here. What I am craving is some companionship. And sex with someone I know and care about.
Anyway, I’m going to keep busy trying to get my life together here and hopefully avoid any fatal mistakes.

Well, part of what I want from a domestic helper is someone to be around keeping their eyes on things when I’m not. Also to take care of the dog I hope to be getting soon.
