Thanks, Soju. Agree that Korean lasses are the hottest on the outside, but might be coldest on the inside. Yeah, doing a civilian gig would be a great opportunity. Especially if you get your housing paid for. Good luck with sticking it out to retirement.
Yeah, glad I’m watching the liberal implosion from afar. Still thinking they are only going to hurt themselves in the long run. At least I hope so!

Thanks, Kev. See you soon in another country.

One lifetime, many lives–Chapter Four: So many women, so little time
Yeah, I’m pretty whore-ified myself. I’m not sure about Travis’ motivations, but I don’t recollect consciously having a sowing wild oats mindset, things just sorted happened and I went along for the ride. Hmm, that’s a pretty apt description of how I lived my entire life.
Now I’m gonna go listen to some Billy Joel tunes. Not sure what brought him to mind…

Yeah, I did actually enjoy being the Hare. Haven’t signed up to Hare again yet, but I’m scouting around for my next trail. Problem is we are heading into rainy season so I’ll need to factor that in to the equation.

Yeah, I’m not missing winter weather, that’s for sure…
» Posted By John McCrarey On 22/May/2019 @ 8:36 am
I’m not on the schedule to Hare again right now. I’ll be two weeks in Korea soon. When I return I’ll start the scouting a trail process. Once I have something in mind I’ll sign up to Hare again…
» Posted By John McCrarey On 21/May/2019 @ 6:30 pm
Well, there is a motivation to finding something to bitch about. If you say anything good about the trail you are required to join the Hare on the ice…I rarely have a kind word myself…
No, they were actually kinda lovin’ on each other…snuggling up if you will. Buddy does get jealous sometimes but he seems to really like his step brother…

Yes, I’m going to let it go. I need to choose my battles and this is not one of them.

HaHa, Veronica is a talented girl. During the hike she climbed to the top of a big ass mango tree to snag some fruit. Up and down that thing like a monkey. I’m sure that dog would be no problem for her. She have to spend the night with me though because I walk early in the morning. Sadly, I’m not sure her boyfriend would approve.

Min, a few of the guys are in their 70’s. The youngest ones are probably mid-40’s. So that puts the average in the late 50’s early 60’s I reckon…

Rascal, she’s still Hashing. On the far right in the first photo.
» Posted By John McCrarey On 16/May/2019 @ 4:36 pm
HaHa! Yeah, some of those lines were familiar, thanks for link. When we do the song people take turns offer up a reason Jesus can’t go Hashing. And of course the song always ends with taking a knee and singing “Jesus we’re only kidding…”
And after 50 runs I’m just glad I’ve avoided DIE-arrhea…

Welcome back Soju! I’ve been wondering where you have been. Missed your pithy comments!
Yeah, the dog owner did get some Karma-like treatment when she got knocked to ground during the scuffle. Hopefully she won’t let her wild animal run free in the future.

Yeah, back when I was a mailman I carried pepper spray. Half the time the shit would blow back in my own face. Once I hit a dog smack in the nose with a full blast of pepper and he actually licked his lips–seemed to enjoy it!
Anyway, when I do that particular street again I’m going to carry my walking stick. Maybe a few smacks upside the head will straighten out that beast’s thinking…
» Posted By John McCrarey On 14/May/2019 @ 12:17 pm
Yeah, I’ve fantasized about killing a couple of the wild ass dogs roaming the streets. I’d use a rat poison laced treat I think. But, of course I’m not going to ever do that for real. They’d put me in jail no doubt.

Thanks, Frank. I’ve not forgotten how much I enjoyed the Lost Nomad days!
You know, before my Korean wife dumped me I rather enjoyed the suburban lifestyle we shared in the USA. And then every six months we’d spice it up with a return to Korea. Best of both worlds kind of thing. Now all that remains are the memories and they mostly just make me sad.
I really appreciate your long time suffering, er, I mean readership! That’s for coming along.

Thanks for coming along for the ride. I do appreciate your insights and support.

I’m saving “Love on the Rocks” for the story of my life…

The age gap thing seems to be cultural. In the West it is looked on as pervy. Here (at least according to the gals I’ve talked to about it) women often prefer an older guy because he’s more “stable”, financially secure, and less likely to run around with other women.
For me I don’t think I’d have a comfort level with a 20-something woman. For one thing I shoot blanks instead of DNA and most girls here want to have a baby. On the dating sites I look in the 35-50 range.

HaHa…I’ve got plenty of room.
It really is easy and came out tasting great.
» Posted By John McCrarey On 10/May/2019 @ 8:06 am
Yeah, it was very light and fluffy and the taste of the egg sans oil really came through. Thanks again!
» Posted By John McCrarey On 08/May/2019 @ 4:29 pm
Hell yeah! I’m sure they must have Brazilian steak houses here, but I ain’t seen one.
Also, if you are up for a hike (Namsan?) for old times sake, let me know.
» Posted By John McCrarey On 08/May/2019 @ 8:33 am
Nope, just wearing my regular Merrill hiking shoes. But yes, muddy and wet makes things infinitely more difficult. The rain held off yesterday…until we got to the top of the mountain. Then a downpour. The slippery was enhanced by the fact that my glasses were so wet I could barely see. Fun times!

Not sure, but fish and fresh veggies would be key ingredients no doubt….

Thanks guys! Much improved today. Hopefully back to normal tomorrow!

Well, you can’t go wrong with Kevin’s blog, that’s for sure. Scary to think what would happen if one of the Dem clowns actually got elected. I don’t see that happening though….

Kev, yeah Lucky has some contortionist in him, that’s for sure. Don’t think I’ll invest in a piano, but maybe he can sleep on my house keys…. 🙂
Yep, Rascal. This too shall pass. Haven’t been reading but did start adding some TV series into the mix…

Yes, the second quake today was on Samar, a different island. Didn’t feel it here….
» Posted By John McCrarey On 23/April/2019 @ 11:43 pm
Yeah, just a few things falling off shelves. No damage.

«« Back To Stats PageYeah, now that you mention it perhaps I was the conflating Ryan/Bauer characters. And at least through episode 1, Ryan is pretty much as you remember him. Competent and low key, a former Marine with PTSD, and can put up a good fight when pushed but doesn’t seek out violence.
I’ll have a full report of yesterday’s adventure up on the blog later today. Thanks for your support!
