Yeah, it was a nice 5 or 6 inch french roll, but was skimpy on the innards. I’ve got a place called the Hungry Pig to check out before I leave, so maybe I’ll be able get something more robust.
Re: the fish, it was both. The waitress laid one down and pulled meat off with her gloved hand. Then she stood it back up on its pedestal. Other diners at my table just picked the meat off while the fish was still standing…

Yeah, I won’t be hiring a tour guide again this trip. I had planned to visit the war museum but think I’ll give that a pass as well.
I did speak with Alex last night about how he’s been treated over the 2+ years in Saigon. He said only one person has told him to “go home” and that was a drunk. He asked an older Vietnamese gentleman he knows about the lack of animosity towards Americans. He simply responded “what’s to be mad about? We won!”

Indeed it is. It certainly wasn’t torture to stay there! In fact, overall I got the best and friendliest service I’ve ever had while there. And I’ve stayed in LOTS of hotels over the years…

HaHa, well, right after posting this installment, I just missed getting run over by a motorbike. My fault too since I was jaywalking. And no, it was BEFORE I started drinking, so no excuses. I’ll be smarter.

Yeah, that was a real sloppy post I admit. Potomac was misspelled unintentionally. I see several other mistakes I’ll need to go back and correct.
I did enjoy my time in Potomac by the way. Weird to have a big Postal Service training facility in such an upscale community. I understand it was formerly some Catholic facility for nuns.

I wasn’t sure where you stood on that and I wasn’t aware that Blogger auto-corrected pagination. Bastards! Regarding the dogs, I actually think they are both just horn dogs, willing to hump anything that moves!
Jerry, I guess I’m in the school of “does it look alright?” when it comes to punctuation. Still, I’m willing to try and learn if it makes sense. I’ve gotten some reader tips in that regard and I try to incorporate them as best as I am able. Yep, the pure love you get from your dogs can’t be beat. Warms my heart to come home to big hugs every day…

Yeah, to be fair that was the backside of Columban. They actually maintain the campus better than most. I’ll get another perspective picture next time I’m by there.
On the one hand, I was pleased that I had the balls to do some exploration. On the other hand, it was pretty dangerous walking off trail like I did. If I had fallen and hurt myself in that tall ass grass I’d probably never be found!

Thirsty, you are correct that Hot Zone does not serve food (just some bar snacks like jerky). They make money on alcohol of course, but that also have arguably the best lineup of dancing girls in town. 🙂

No, Lucky has not actually run off…yet. I or my helper witnessed his first successful jumps and called him back. He probably wouldn’t go far, but might get entangled with some of the local strays, get hit by a car, or get lost. He’s not the brightest dog I’ve ever owned. 🙂
