I am glad to see that I was wrong with my prediction. You’ll remember that when you started this relationship, most of your readers wrote scathing previews about how long it would last. After all this time, it’s still going strong. And you still get to visit some of your favorite bars ; though you’d be the first to admit that you’ve made some adjustments. These days, you’re just as content to drink from your rooftop with your woman, rather than entertain the Cheap Charlie’s crew with your oldest and dearest jokes. The fear that your woman wouldn’t share your hobbies has been allayed ; and she seems to be as active as you are with the walking in the mornings and drinking at sunset. Let me be the first to apologize for my wrong prognosis. Both of you made some minor adjustments in your lifestyle and attitude, and I wish you all the best.
The same goes for your own adjustments when it comes to healthy living.

Is that Joy enjoying the food? Either that’s a really bad picture, or she’s really gotten fat. Come to think of it; I think I made the same comment a few months ago. Could she have gotten even fatter in the meantime? None of us have any control over our genetics…. I am on the way to becoming a sumo wrestler myself; just that I run out of breath from standing up from the couch.

The wild and windy night

That you have had so many encounters with women named Joy that you can’t keep it straight is quite interesting.

But I have to ask
is Marga all woman or is there something extra?
Or maybe it’s just that ghost-like extra layer of make-up. I’ve often wondered if caking up one’s face does something to the skin ….like when they scrape it off, is the face all covered in sores and bumps ? or skin so smooth it’s almost translucent?

These are the things that keep me awake at night

Is it me or are moles more prevalent amongst Filipinos 🤔 Especially the womenfolk.
I swear if you walked down the market street any day you’d encounter a person with a prominent facial mole at some time. And they’re usually at such a size that you can’t think of anything else even during a conversation. Now I’m wondering if there are even more moles that are covered by clothes.

Maybe it’s the heat 🤔 or the sunshine, or rather the excess time spent in the sun 🌞
Speaking of which, have you also developed moles on your skin ? You do spend a considerable time outdoors , though always on the move.

My mole soliloquy is decidedly less disgusting than what you and Kevin , along with your Facebook friend,are discussing. I don’t have any pictures to support my mole arguments, but the one you have of the girl in Voodoo meets the requirements.
If she’s the least attractive woman there , is your old woman friend the best? I would like to see the lineup of this Voodoo place, since I remember that your infrequent visits are usually eventful.

And Kevin is right; the lady in front of you has looks that may be described as exotic. She could be from anywhere from the south of India to San Francisco Bay. Though I noticed that you paid her no attention at all . Not your type eh?

Speaking of types , I hope Joy is well. You know I have always rooted for your happiness to be shared with her, although it looks like you’re content to just occasionally share your food and bed for the time being. Now that I think about it, isn’t that what marriage is about ? It’s just people sharing food and a bed on special occasions throughout the days of their lives.
That hideaway bar seems to rely just on you as their sole customer. Is the location so far away from humanity? Or does the bar not have the kind of vibe that attracts more crowds?
I would think that a bar with such fine ladies would get more foot traffic. Or is that the one with the Australian bar owner who’s generally described by everyone as a bit of a bellend? That’s British slang for someone whose demeanor is generally believed to be unpleasant.

And what is this sponsorship you speak of? Is your hash club like the AA where you need a sponsor to continue walking through the streets of the city to see Easter mountain ⛰️ 🤔 That would absolutely make sense 😀 With the rituals, and counting the number of walks, and the shirts and the nicknames.
In which case new members should be initiated by their sponsors.

Did you ever write about how and why you started this hashing business? I know that I read somewhere, that in your final angst-filled years in the service of Uncle Sam’s business ,that you were exiled fron your metropolitan home to a much smaller town with nothing to do but drink and walk after work. And you did both, of your own volition and with no supporting cast.
Finding and joining this drinking walking club must have been partly responsible for you setting in what is a rather tepid town as far as I can tell.
