Two noteworthy passings of music legends from my past this week: Eddie Money and Ric Ocasic. If you weren’t around for the ’70s and ’80s, you missed some rockin’ good music.
Can’t embed YouTube for some reason. Here’s My Best Friend’s Girlfriend from Ocasic and The Cars.
I’ve been listening to both on my walks this week.
Thanks for the music. Rest in Peace.
I was shocked to see that news reporter Cokie Roberts had died. She was 75. In my mind, she was eternally 40-something.
Guess I’ve got a lot of “ululate!” posts to write.
Yeah, from what I recall Cokie was a pretty straight shooter. Of course, back in those days, I wouldn’t have known any different. Cpkie was actually friends with a friend of mine, although I never had the honor of meeting her.
I concur on your assessment of music from the seventies and eighties. Had been recently watching a real-life show with Eddie and his family called Real Money. Good family man and very funny not to mention a talented musician. Only 70 years old when he took his One Ticket To Paradise. On a brighter note, Barbara Eden from I Dream of Jeannie is going strong at 88 and looked good into her 70’s. Yes Master! The FemiNazi’s would have a field day with that line today. Peace Out!
Haha! Indeed they would, along with most other sitcoms of the 1960s! Damn she was hot! I dreamed of Jeannie often! 🙂
