So, how’s that stimulus working out for you?

Kevin, If you have a point make it. Otherwise “Let it be”.

A glimpse into the future…

Smack: No-one ever said Moore was not smart. In my mind the only reason he pointed out the obvious was to try and win-over more centrists and conservatives to actually (spend money) view his farse of a movie. And, attack and villify his own methods. As they say if you want to hide something hide it in plain sight.

John, It’s funny you mention the media (or loss there of). I happened to catch a bit of an interview with the infamous Micheal Moore (one of the most left individuals on the planet). He pointed out that Goldman Sachs received 12.5 billion dollars of the AIG bailout money. Goldman Sachs said it basically deserved the money, though they did not need it, because that would cover their loss should AIG fail. Of course we all know that AIG then gave out 165 million in bonuses. Which this administration said they did not know about. Until later we learned Timmy (Turbo-Tax) Geither helped negotiate the deal when he was with the FED (prior to becoming the treasury sec). Now Moore did not attack this administration as he has the Bush admin he merely said he was pointing out the facts. The largest recipient of campaign dollars from both AIG and Goldman Sachs? Barrack Obama.

Bricks for the Brits

“Brown gave Obama a pen”. Brown presented Obama with a pen holder crafted from the timbers of the 19th century British warship HMS President (whose sister ship, HMS Resolute, provided the wood for the Oval Office’s desk). Obama gave Brown 25 DVD’s. Go Obama! Continue to show such class.

Give-em hell at the darts John.

Unbelievable! You are more concerned with his being articulate than his policies. The same could be said of Hitler. He has thrown Poland, The Chez Republic and Israel under the bus in one week and yet he gives a good speech. Qaddafi says he’s like a son. Chavez says he’s so glad Obama is the president. Castro loves him. Ahmadinejad says screw you Obama we are building a nuke and wiping Israel off the earth. Yet Obama can sure talk.

I find the new approach far less than American. Once again attack Bush. As I’ve said, Liberals have 5 arguements. 1. Bush did this. 2. Bush did that. 3. It’s all Bushs fault. 4. You are a racist. 5. We won! Not a one of them addresses the issue at hand. I, as most people in America, are tired of the appology tour. This guy surrounds himself with socialist and communist and you act like that is so cool. Sorry Kev but I could not disagree more. And as to the reference to Murdoch, funny how his media outlets are destroying the MSM in ratings.

Are you a racist?

http://news.aol.com/article/cnn-poll-obamas-approval-rating-steady/677992

WASHINGTON (Sept. 20) – President Barack Obama’s approval rating is holding steady in the mid-50’s, according to a new CNN Poll of Polls.

Fifty-five percent of Americans approve of how Obama’s handling his duties in the White House, according to the CNN Poll of Polls, which averaged the six national surveys taken since the president addressed a joint session of Congress on September 9. Thirty-nine percent, on average, disapprove.

Does the poll result surprise you?

Yes 54%
No 46%

Total Votes 48,219

What’s your take on Obama’s job performance?

I disapprove 60%
I approve 32%
I have mixed feelings 6%

Total Votes 58,360

The lies continue.

That was then, this is now

1. The whole deal with the speech was just as you pointed out (John) the lesson plan. Obama has been compared to JFK (loosely). Even JFK was astute enough to know the difference. “Ask not what your country can do for you. But, ask what you can do for your country”. NOT THE MAN. He is a temporary office holder.

2. Dentoku: If you have read the posts since this whole “Wide World of Sports” debate got started you would recognize that Kevin is John’s son. That’s not to discourage anyone from letting things fly as John seems to enjoy it. Kevin is a sports commentator/journalist in SC. A simple google search will point you there. He’s quite versed in his field. I’ve read some of his reporting and it’s quite good. Spelling and punctuation should fall well behind the “point”. Except of course with the poster of main content: Our host John.

3. Last, but certainly not least, I’m with you John. I’m going upscale or I’m not going. Juicy Bar. What a name.

» Posted By Frank On 10/September/2009 @ 2:20 am

Strangely familiar

I think we all know (whether some accept) that the NEA has used school text books as their personal propaganda phamplets. Whole chapters are presented decrying the myth of the “Liberal Media”. Myth? They do not even say the Twin Towers were brought down by Islamic terrorist. That would be un-PC.

» Posted By Frank On 07/September/2009 @ 4:49 am

And would everyone do me a favor and ignore my last post. It really is way out of context to this disscussion (at least one sentence). I guess being a bit ill was the cause (irritable). I certainly do not won’t to imply anyone is pro anything. It is something I am passionate about but, realize it is a personal choice for each individual and not my choice.

I knew it had to be something…

If you think a bucnh of pinks and greens are going to win anything you surly are wrong. It’s the liberals who want abortion and are very willing to pay for it both here and abroad. Interesting article on, of all places, MSNBC. France, the country that is considered the model of European job security and social saftey nets. Is on the verge of stagnating. And, drum-beat Van Jones resigned. Only 36 more cazrs to go.

OMFG!

DIVORCE AGREEMENT

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama
supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950’s, but the whole of this latest election
process has made me realize that I want a divorce.

I know we tolerated each other for
many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its
course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is
right so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to
irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion.

That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly
agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can
effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don’t like re distributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal
judges and the ACLU.

Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O’ Donnell (You are, however, responsible for
finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We’ll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and
Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens.

We’ll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO’s and rednecks. We’ll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer
places that threaten us.

You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we’ll help provide them security.

We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We’ll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We’ll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right.

We’ll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute Imagine, I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We’ll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot.

Since it often so offends you, we’ll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and
conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly
parting, I’ll bet you which one of us will need whose help in 15 years..

Sincerely,

Conservatives

P.S. Also, please take Barbara Streisand & Jane Fonda with you.

Wow! John when you do decide to opine, literally, you don’t hold back. By the way, Duke’s explanation, along with your real experience about points in darts made it very clear. Thanks. You know they say that a picture can paint a thousand words. Sometimes the opposite is true. Duke can paint a Picasso with just a few. Your above comments are certainly a Rembrandt.

Liberté, égalité, fraternité

VJ: Not sure what your comments mean? Is it, I (me) you think are acting Canadian, or Kevin? As I said, it’s the goverment who will cripple me from taking care of myself. I don’t want the goverment to do anything for me financially or physically. I’ve already seen what they have done to medicade and social security. It was in the 80’s when we found out that instead of the money, being withheld, for SS not actually going into SS it was going into a general fund. Then congress decided how much actually made it to SS. The rest they were using as their own personal piggy bank to pay for their pork barrel projects. Congress has an automatic 7.5% pay increase every year. That just happens to go through when they are on summer recess. They don’t vote on it and they all run and hide so you can not question them about it. Now Obama is cutting federal employee pay raises from 2.4% to 2%. these are the middle class people who actually need the money. TO TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES. “why isn’t the goverment helping me more” hell if they help me anymore I’ll be in a soup line. Do I blame the goverment? Hell yes I do. The cash for clunkers is just the latest example of what happens when goverment gets involved. Ford (did not take stimulus money) out sold both GM and Chrysler combined. Chrysler was not even on the chart. GM saw a sales increase but hey, if they sold 10 cars, that was an increase. The top 10 cars sold were foreign autos. Who really won in our tax dollar give-away? The Japanese. I said, even before Gleen Beck did his expose, connect the dots. I pointed out a number of the people he mentioned. Try Jeffery Jones, co-founder with Bill Ayres of the Weather Underground. “Oh I don’t know Bill, just another guy in the neighborhood”. More later. I don’t have the energy Dennis has….

Kevin: To some degree you are right. But, the republicans are complicit too. That is the real reason people are angry. I saw John McCains townhall. He was asked specifically if he would take the public option. He said we need to concentrate on the 10 items I have listed on my white board. Bottom line, he did not answer the question. These elites, as they like to think of themselves, have to go. Now we have dems calling other dems brain-dead. We have a president who has spent over $500,000 to fight releasing his college records or anything that would truly define him. How did a man with not a clear means of support go to Harvard, buy a $1.5 million home (Rezko another convicted felon)? Darn near everyone this guy is associated with is a crook. Fortuneate said last week (or whenever) that all politicians have some shady associates. True. But the people that have been pointed out are not associates. They are his top advisers. Big difference. The dems have a history of shooting themselves in the foot when thay gain power. Then it’s back to the reps. This next 3 year election cycle I just hope the American public throw them all out and actually enact term limits.

Great minds think alike

Kevin: That would be all of 7 months. No one on here to my knowledge has said they agreed with Bush even 70%. But, Obama has an agenda that the citizens of this country do not agree with either. 9 trillion defict over the next 10 years. That means in order to even keep up taxes are going to go through the roof. He is going to cripple my ability to save for retirement. Then he is going to give me “voluntary” end-of-life counciling. Not very attractive.

Dave New’s last hurrah

Dennis:
Sometimes I do have to wonder? It is obvious that John and Fortuneate are friends. As well as Duke. They know eachothers birthdays. Nothing wrong with friends sharing greetings and well wishes. The “Cash for Codgers” along with “all my ex’s” should have been a clue as to the gender. Yes the conversation has been all over the board. Cap & Trade, Health Care, Associations and over-all Agenda. But, hey, we can multitask. Since my news sources have also been questioned I’ll address that first. I don’t get the paper nor watch alot of TV myself. I goto the web sites for CNN, MSNBC and FoxNews. In my view CNN is the most liberal. MSNBC is more to the middle but, leans left. FOX is definately conservative. Sometimes articles do send me to blogs but, they are typically journalists blogs. This is Beck’s show from last night (printed version).

Here is todays (printed version).

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,543205,00.html

As I stated before…Connect the dots. Obama clearly has lied about his association with Bill Ayers. Ira Einhorn, the “Unicorn”. The founder of Earth Day. (At least the master of ceremonies at the first globally televised Earth Day) as-in “Global Warming”. His comtemporaries? Jerry Ruben and Abbey Hoffman. He killed his girl friend stuffed her in a trunk. Got arrested. Got out on a $40k bail bond and fled the country. His attorney? Arlen Specter. After closed door meetings with Obama, Specter becomes a Democrat. After Einhorn was finally found in France in 1997. He fought extradition and lost. He got a life sentence. Specter was the attorney who fought extradiction. Obama says in his own book that while at Harvard he made sure to associate himself with Marist professors. Eric Holder the AG. He’s the guy that got Marc Rich ($48,000,000 tax evasion) pardoned by Clinton. Holder said I had no involment. Oh but, you were the one who wrote the request. “Oh, I forgot about that”. Now today I see that they arrested Hassan Nemazee at the Newark airport trying to flee the country to Rome. He got a loan for $74,000,000 with fraudulent paperwork. Who is Namazee? He was Hillary Clintons’ Finance Chairman for her primary run. Then Finance Chair for Obamas’ presidential run and a bundler for Obamas’ inauguration. He’s presently Finance Chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. In 2006 he helped the DSCC raise $115,000,000. Where did he graduate? Harvard.
This is enough to make my head hurt. Conspiracy? You can’t make all this up. To much time on my hands? Most of this has been known for years. I do not trust a thing this man says.

Cash for Codgers and Life’s a Bitch

Fortuneate, I think the goverment should not be in the health care business. They have made a mess of Medicare/Medicade and the VA Hospital System. I prefer they stay out of mine.

» Posted By Frank On 26/August/2009 @ 12:48 am

Fortune: And you accused me of being a blog reader…lol I think the last line of my post was what I was trying to say. People need to really look at the whole picture and discuss these issues. Your post goes into more detail, page numbers and exact wording. But that is only a portion and can certainly not paint the picture. As I have said before I am nowhere near an expert or right on every point. But, when you have at least a good portion of the population saying whoa. Then we really need to make sure where we are going with these type of things. I do not like Specter. I think he is a piece of trash and is a perfect example of what is wrong with our congress. I do give him credit (which was the point) to say let’s really analyze this before we go forward. There is a TV program on called Sharks. Where these small business, inventors try and sell their ideas to gain capital investment from the panel of capitalist. This administration reminds me of that. Obama is very likeable and a great salesman. However, where’s the beef? He has trippled the deficit if not quadrupled it and I don’t see the profit. When people ask the really tough questions, at times, there seems to be no answers. “I won”, “This is what the American people want”. “This is a major crisis”, “If we don’t do this now the world will end”. I’m an American and I’m not at all convinced this is where we need to be going. End of life counseling? Do these people not have families? Is the American population so ignorant the Goverment needs to tell them what to do? “Oh this is voluntary”. “We are providing a service”. All I’ve seen is a bunch of bull. Just thoughts. But from what I see and hear is that I need to give the goverment more money so the goverment can decide what’s best. I don’t think so.

Just where have we arrived?
Sen. Arlen Specter on Sunday called for hearings to scrutinize a guide for veterans’ end-of-life care which one former Bush official says sends a “hurry-up-and-die” message to injured troops.

The guide, called “Your Life, Your Choices,” was suspended under the Bush administration but has been revived under the current Department of Veterans Affairs.

Jim Towey, former director of the White House Office of Faith-Based Initiatives, said that the pamphlet makes injured veterans feel like a burden, encourages the severely injured to die and should be tossed out.

Asked about the document, Specter, a member of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, said it raises “a lot of questions” and that he would call for hearings immediately.

“I think consideration ought to be given right now to suspending it pending hearings,” Specter, D-Pa. said.

“Our Father, who art in Washington…”

The video was great. An obvious spoof but very well done. It goes back to the debate to Obama as the joker and Bush as the joker/vampire. Political satire is fair (if crazy people recognize it for what it is). The real deal, as they say, now people are getting involved and actual thought is going into the process of Health-Care reform. I’ve said I recognize we need reform, just not this reform. Hopefully the US is in better shape than we thought. Calling the insurance companies evil villans is not correct in a lot of cases. I remember you had some malady and your Blue-Cross said no to some tests. As I pointed out then, they are only the administrators. That’s why you were able to goto your own HR and get them to approve it. Harry Reid recently stated the old adage that income tax is voluntary. BS. They will come in and take your home, garnish your wages and assess interest and fines. Voluntary? When the bills state that End-Of-Life counseling is voluntary I’m just not buying that. When they say they will offer child rearing counseling and check-up in a couple of years to ensure things are going well. Just a minute. Don’t tell me how to raise my child or tell my parents how to plan for the inevitable. Those are family decisions. Fortuneate pointed out that his/her parents had living wills and the siblings were on-board. That, to me, is the way it is supposed to work. Narcisstic has become the buzz word in describing our congress. Sen. Ensign (Republican) said today that his affair was not illegal. Not like B. Clinton’s because he did not lie. Give me a break. Throw this guy off the highest cliff we can find. Damn. Ok it’s off my chest now. I still want know how thw points plays into strategy with darts. Duke where are you?

» Posted By Frank On 21/August/2009 @ 12:30 pm

Obviously, this does not apply to me…

Fortunateate: What the hell did you just say? “Unfortunately, I am a person and I am sincere (most of the time) so I guess I must be a POS”. “In which case I reserve the right to recant the previous statement”. That’s truly hilarious. Now get out of the wine bottle.

» Posted By Frank On 21/August/2009 @ 1:13 pm

Dennis: Yes I do think Fortune-Cookie is very sincere. I just disagree with that view. Who knows, it might be you, John and I that are proven wrong in time. However, debate is what the point is. Ted Kennedy (another news item) said today that he wanted an appointment as fast as possible after his death. That was tough but, truthfull. He said he felt the people of Mass. needed two voices. Democrats nor repulicans all agree with eachother. I was actually shocked he said that (we know he wants another Demo as the governor is Demo) but, this whole concept of a majority/one party system is wrong. I do not want to see our great country go there (socialism). I hope we actually see the third party gain more strength. Then, “game-on”.

» Posted By Frank On 21/August/2009 @ 1:02 pm

Dennis: 1st and foremost, Fortuneate is not a POS. This person has their opinion and has every right to it. I disagree but, if you have read back through the comments. Not in anger. Just my view.

John: This is in refernce to an earlier post. Though I do agree..(political debate)..”The Humanity”. Yes you were correct, if your voice sounds as bad as you look then we are in real trouble! “Just kidding”! Just the fact that you have the “Knads” to get up and sing would say you probably have a decent voice. If I did that they would haul me out to the back alley, thrash me comepletly and make me swear to every Deity known to man that I would never again open my mouth again.
