Renee the USA has no budgetary restraints. The 500 billion it spends on its military is more than what the world together spends 25 times over. The next largest military spender is Russia and they only spend 10% of what we spend. I wonder what an extra 450 billion would do for the infrastructure on other starving countries. Starvation being the number one killer in the world. Bombs are expensive they only kill 10% of the people that starvation does. Get Real.

John in Europe countries are reducing their military. Europe is in deep recession. Nato countries are only allowed to spend no more than 3.5% of their Gross Domestic Product on military expenditures per treaty. Unfortunately, European countries by law are not allowed to fund their militaries by deficit spending.. Its politics and priorites and Euro Regs.

John why are we not (USA) bringing Democracy to Darfour(Sundan)like we did in Haiti and Panama? We all know the United Nations has China, Russia, France and a few other countries in it that block actions from taking place because of politics and other interests.

in Europe cities are trashed because of soccer games.When a favored team loses entire countries suffer under fanatical soccer fans. Does not seem that Korean soccer is that emotional of a game over there.
