Aloha Oe

Hey, you owe us a Yoja.

It’s baseball season!

Damn those Giants. First they put cameras in the outfield to steal the catcher’s signals; now this.

Searchlight or L.A.?

The right wing assembly has the hotties, so I’m hanging with them. Interestingly, the left wingers look like a collection of immigrants here for the handouts and natives already getting their share.

On the homefront

BFD. Is it really going to traumatize a 12 yr old boy to see a woman take it off? I give this lady credit for her initiative, making a living for herself. However, I don’t think she should be selling alcohol to minors.

“This law is a big turd sandwich…

Who did say it?

Dexter

I’m going to miss Dexter’s wife. I thought she was very cute and sweet. She started getting progessively more bitchy over the seasons, but they do that after you marry them.

So the President lies to the American people to get what he wants. What’s new? I’m still waiting for that change we were promised.

Meanwhile, here in Korea…

Yah, I forgot CYE– funniest show ever.

I totally agree on Dexter and Mad Men and Breaking Bad. Other great Showtime series: The Tudors, The Brotherhood, and Weeds. From HBO: Deadwood and The Wire. From F/X: The Sons of Anarchy. That should keep you busy.

Who says women don’t grow on trees?

I used to have a black light poster similar to this.

Jesus Christ

No wonder Jesus said to turn the other cheek. He meant the OTHER cheek.

Stuck, poked, prodded and probed

Very interesting, and better you than me. Any one of those procedures would have been $750 in the US. And you would wait about 2 months for an appointment. Then the technicians would treat you like you were wrecking their day by making them have to do some work. Why is American healthcare so expensive? Greed and graft, like everything else.

Into the great wide open

Similarly, Tom Robbins wrote “Never hesitate to trade your cow for a handful of magic beans.”

Miss me yet?

Not now; not ever.

A Namsan afternoon

This is not a negative comment, but in some of your pictures, you remind me of Hal Clinkenbeard. What size hat do you wear?

It’s pretty bad when even the French are calling you a pussy.

Wait till the clowns get unionized.

Long may you run

Dude, the Rambler was my high school ride. It was my Spitfire that was always in the shop.

I can’t remember what desperate situation I was in, but for some reason I borrowed that ’64 Chevy for a date with this girl named Irene. I got pulled over because of some non-functioning lights, and the cop asked Irene what she was doing with such a loser.

You may remember we were in this car that time a CHP pulled us over. I got out and took a picture of you receiving your ticket from the cop and he hollered at me to get back in the car. I think you made a poster of that pic.

You gotta laugh

Kevin, I have spent most of my life lamenting that so many people can’t afford health care, or food, or heat for their homes, or homes for that matter. I have dragged my ass to a succession of unfulfilling jobs just to keep a step ahead of that kind of poverty. I don’t remember getting any help from the government, other than the GI Bill. I am nothing special– if I can get a shitty job, anybody can. I was never hired because I was white or smart or special. Now as I near the end of the journey, I find the government has allowed their banking proxies to destroy my retirement. Rather than make me whole, the government taxes me further to reward those who have robbed me. What I am saying is, I wish everybody could afford health care; but I think I pay enough already. People need to cowboy up and take care of their own damn problems.

Very interesting. I’m sure I have never seen the Mock Turtle Soup, the Mutton Broth, or the Fig Pudding on the shelves at Safeway. Maybe the Smithsonian has a few cans tucked away. What the hell is mince-meat, anyway? The pie showed up at the occasional Thanksgiving in my youth, but I always gave it the kind of wide berth you would give plutonium. I could sense that if it was indeed a type of meat, it had been previously digested and regurgitated before entering the pie crust.

Put a Trojan on that Cock

PS– as the headline of this post says.

Good luck with the Supreme Court. Just as paper covers rock, Trojan covers Cock.

McDonald’s has successfully enforced their trademark against people of that name and all its various spellings from using their own family names to identify their business enterprises. Ironic, since the head of the Macdonald clan in Scotland says the corporation never obtained his permission to use the name to sell hamburgers in the first place.

The shot heard ’round the world!

I’m so happy voters are starting to show some sense. I voted for Obama because I was disgusted with the arrogance of Bush-Cheney, and have long hoped for a change in the way politics is played out in Washington. Yes, I was duped. I voted for a more slickly packaged product of the same old Chicago machine. Obama has cynically broken all his promises, thinking his coalition of bleeding hearts, border jumpers, reverse-racists and crooked politicians could sustain the illusions of his agenda. Perhaps we will yet see some change; if not, then a one-term presidency seems likely.

Yoja of the week

I rarely comment on the yojas, but I sure like to look at them. Please know your weekly search is not wasted.

Better late than never

Well, this is quite a change from when I saw you in September, and you said you weren’t going to be making any lifestyle changes. Good for you! You will definitely feel a lot better. I think we need to take a lesson from Mom and Dad, and hew to the lament “If I had known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.”

Methinks thou dost protest overmuch

Actually, I think Clinton is a racist. He only pretends otherwise for political reasons. The comment about the coffee represents his true elitist, racist feelings.
