High speed rail

Well now, I’d think you’d be well acquainted with that hand after all these years Goat. If I recall, you even named it Rosy…

For my Canadian friends…

Ok John R, now that WAS funny…

» Posted By John McCrarey On 29/January/2010 @ 3:32 pm

Well, wish you were here to debate it with me Scott. We could agree on the beers part for sure…

Yoja of the week

You know, that was exactly my thought Dave. I’m not up on music trends here, but I know I’ve never heard of her or seen her on TV. I think she might be big in Japan….

Heinz 57

Yeah, must have been from Popeye, our neighborhood bullies spoke Spanish as I recall.

» Posted By John McCrarey On 29/January/2010 @ 6:12 am

Yeah, and not to mention the neighborhood bully whose primary threat was “I’ll make mincemeat outta ya!”.

And now a word from our sponsor…

Thanks Kevin!

A picture is worth a thousand words

Ha Ha—so you think I might be an overpaid government worker?

Well I don’t know what to say about that Euro. Although I did get a look at my pay stub today including my annual increase of 4.5% and a tidy cash bonus. I will be retiring in September at age 55 on a sweet government pension. I quit smoking just so I could live longer and continue to suck at the taxpayer teat.

But I promise that while I am living a life of luxury in some tropical paradise (much warmer than Lichtenstein by the way)I will contemplate my greedy ways courtesy of my rich Uncle Sam.

I guess that is what you were looking for, right? Just remember, envy is one of the 7 deadly sins….

Euro, I had a read. I didn’t see any “truths” that I hadn’t read on DailyKos or Democratic Underground or countless other leftwing sites. What did I miss?

Compare and contrast…

Yep, gotta meet that Chinese demand for devalued dollars….

» Posted By John McCrarey On 25/January/2010 @ 10:55 pm

Hmmm, well it is hard to imagine McCain making a worse mess of things. And I think folks who make money ought to be able to keep what they have earned through their toil. I guess I’m kind of a radical that way…

Put a Trojan on that Cock

Cock block…lol!

The shot heard ’round the world!

Interesting. So far no one is defending the actions of the Dems. I think that says a lot and Kevin is right–unless things change there will be hell to pay in November.

Now, let’s hope the Repubs are learning from their past mistakes. No sign of that yet either…which is why maybe this “tea party” thing is what we need…

Keith, no shame in admitting you were wrong. It appears that millions in Massachusetts came to the same conclusion.

I am seeing the reincarnation of Jimmy Carter in Obama. And yeah, I voted for Carter.

Sorry about that my friend…I just couldn’t resist…

Pounded

Yes, sometimes late at night we hear an eerie “thunk-thunk-thunk-” echo through the bar and we nod knowingly to one another and say “ah, the ghost of Dave’s darts…”

Good luck in your match…Hope you two face off head to head.

» Posted By John McCrarey On 30/January/2010 @ 7:21 am

Are they going to allow those 50 gram grenades? I must admit I miss the sound of that “thunk” when Dave is throwing…

» Posted By John McCrarey On 21/January/2010 @ 6:37 am

Good luck Dave. Are you playing in the same league as Duke?

» Posted By John McCrarey On 20/January/2010 @ 10:42 am

And Craig, you wouldn’t recognize the Bulls. Not a token North American in sight!

» Posted By John McCrarey On 19/January/2010 @ 1:26 pm

Thanks Petro, but I am anything but consistent these days. I am actually embarassed by my game right now. So, I figure it’s gotta get better. I keep telling myself that anyway…

Top Ten Korean Movies

Yeah, Korean comedy on TV is nothing to laugh about it.

Old Boy I thought was a masterpiece…

Better late than never

Hell Keith, my goal is to live as long as mom and dad period. But yeah, it would not be good to not be able to move about and enjoy life.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

Methinks thou dost protest overmuch

Well, if Reid calls for his own resignation as Majority Leader like he did for Lott I will be satisfied.

You say this is a Republican initiated scandal–what scandal? Are Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton outraged? Your blindness to the hypocrisy here is astounding….

Out with the new, In with the old

The ironic thing is just about everyone did better money-wise under NSPS. I was for the most part a fan but there were some frustrating bugs in the process as well.

Back to the future!

I’ve noticed a distinct lack of sympathy from my Canadian friends as we suffer through this harsh Korean winter….

Under the Dome

Nomad, nice to see you here. I’m glad I didn’t give any spoilers away in my sloppy review. If I wasn’t so lazy I’d go back and at least correct the typos. But there is something to be said for a blogger butchering the English language while criticizing someone else’s writing.

That what folks have come to expect here at LTG…

» Posted By John McCrarey On 06/January/2010 @ 4:05 pm

Yeah forgettable. I already remember the dome in The Simpson’s Movie better. Sad thing is I read you get the book for less than 10 bucks in the states, I paid full price ($30)here.

Thanks for the link Euro, I’ll check it out.

New Year Yoja

Nope, no southern delicacies were on my new year’s menu. Sure does sound good though, as long as there was some cornbread to go with it….
