The time machine

Kevin: HaHa…where’s my royalty check?

» Posted By John McCrarey On 27/October/2018 @ 2:51 pm

Well, my daughter-in-law reads my blog. Not sure about anyone else. It’s kind of a don’t ask, don’t tell thing.

My blog has always been more like a diary anyway. So I just chose to be make my life an open book I guess…

The longest day

Well, the train only took a couple of minutes, so it is definitely quicker. The hang up is you can’t ride it without a boarding pass or as in my case, special circumstances.

Now I’ve got that Jimmy Buffett song “changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes” song stuck in my head. Thanks a lot!

One of those days (continued)

Dickheads abound wherever you go, it’s true. But I’ve got a friend in Korean prison who punched a dickhead and wound up killing him. One of my primary objectives here is to never see the inside of a Filipino jail. The way the non-criminal poor folks live is shocking enough. But yeah, I get your point. If I’m the bar owner I’m just going to ban the guy permanently. Which is why I guess I’m not suited to own a bar.

Back in the saddle

Haha! Well, it’s going to be something that’s for sure! Stay tuned!

Well I’ll be damned

Freddy, yeah she looks much more real and natural in person. I actually prefer that look….

Well Soju, I am hoping at some point she’ll strip for me….

Danke mein Freund

You got lucky

Thanks, Brian!

Yes, I’m tracking right on point with your suggestions. I did the online thing a lot back before I got married and learned the hard way after getting scammed a couple of times. All the red flags you mention are good indicators to keep your guard up. And any gal who asks for money BEFORE we met in person gets blocked. I always say “so sorry for your problem. What would you have done if you didn’t know me? Do that!” Then it’s goodbye.

Yeah, I do look at the gals in Manila as options provided they are willing to travel. There’s also a surprisingly large number of girls in Olongapo. And of course Angeles/Pampagna.

Thanks again for the input.

Yikes! That would be one of my goals for sure…

Comfortably numb

Great comment, Kevin. Lots of wisdom here, perhaps I’ll even avail myself to some of it!

Actually, the theme travel idea is appealing. I’ve always enjoyed history so I can see myself doing that. When I was in Cebu/Mactan Island a couple of years ago I visited the site where Magellan met his end at the hands of Lapu-Lapu. Good stuff.

You also gave me the idea of going back to the dating sites and looking for a local “tour guide” to the places I travel. That could make the traveling much nicer is so MANY ways!

White rhythm and blues

HahaHa! I hadn’t considered that possibility….

Purdy thirty…

Part of our limitations was timing. The movies she really wanted to see weren’t out yet. Just an unlucky pick I’m afraid…

A grave experience at the Hash

HaHa, ghostly?

Living dangerously

I really appreciate the feedback guys. Heartfelt and caring comments like these make the blogging experience so much more meaningful.

F’n crazy!

Thanks, Soju. Hard to believe something as basic as “innocent until proven guilty” is sacrificed in the name of partisan politics. Scary times. Glad to have some distance from the insanity.

Another day in paradise

Kev, no Justin was only here for 3 days. He had to get back for work. I have my live-in domestic helper who can take care of Buddy and keep an eye on the house, so I should be good to go…

» Posted By John McCrarey On 28/September/2018 @ 3:14 pm

I’ll be it on my list for sure Neil!

A hot ass Hash

Haha, I honestly don’t remember her violation. Judging from the guy next to her on ice, it had nothing to do with hotness though!

Rolling thunder

I’ll have to ask him about the visa…I know he was here on a teaching visa and when that contract didn’t renew, he got one of those “6 months to look for another job” visas. I assume he got a job and has to exit prior to a new work visa being issued.

Buddy’s a spoiled brat, but I love him anyway. He has escaped a couple of times but always comes back home now. That’s progress.

A lucky day to Hash

My pleasure!

What a fool believes

Haha! Maybe next time it happens to me I’ll just say “stick a tampon in it!” and walk away…

» Posted By John McCrarey On 18/September/2018 @ 7:05 am

As always, thanks Kevin.

Yeah, tampo is a real thing. You’ve got to see it to believe it. Actually, I was really surprised, I was sitting there having a good time and then she went cold stone silent on me.

Oh well, I don’t think you will be seeing any reprieve this go round. Honestly, I’m pretty sure we are both relieved to have this done. It was a mismatch from the beginning…

Thar she blows!

That’s good because the only two occasions I drink are when I’m alone or when I’m with someone. Sorry about the clickbait, I know that sucks!

My day

Thanks, Kev. I’ve considered a car but honestly I only use Donnie once a week so I can’t really justify the expense. If I happen to find a girlfriend who drives I might reconsider. I’m all about risk avoidance here and I know any accident in which I’m the driver will automatically be my fault (the rich Kano is ALWAYS in the wrong, doncha know?).

One third of the way…

Louise, I lived in the USA part time during my first try at retirement. After living overseas so many years I found it worse than boring…it was just plain vanilla. Nowhere is perfect. I report the good and the bad from the Philippines, but I don’t regret coming here.

Kevin, the jury is still out on the sanity issue!

Thanks for the comments!

Stuff about things

Yep, opens at the top. And it will be stocked up with all the goodness you mention. When I return from my shopping excursion, it’s gonna be “nice to meat you!”.

Reflections

Yeah, I don’t pay a lot of attention to it, but this is by far the most superstitious culture I’ve ever been exposed to. Heh, I thought fan death was bad! It seems almost everyone believes in ghosts and these Aswang things:

Spot on!

Interesting. I never knew what Renee meant in French. I kind of just picked it on a whim (we hadn’t planned on keeping the baby), the name of of a girl I liked in 8th grade I think. Bonnie was my mom’s name. I always kinds of regretted that I hadn’t named her Bonnie Renee which has a nice ring to it. I call her that sometimes anyway…
