It is great to see the Subic contingent arrived there safely despite the inclement weather conditions. Do you husband and wife swap?
I assumed you were a Deadhead but no “Box of Rain” in your musical offering today, although “Sugaree” might chime more given the circles you mix in now.
Enjoy the rest of your trip.

That prawn dish looks exquisite. Compliments to the chef.
I trust you and the rest of the kennel arrived in Bauang safely and without incident. Do you all travel together en masse in a private bus?
I read Bauang is quite desolate and that a town near there called San Juan is much more picturesque. Will you visit San Juan, and maybe even Baguio which appears close by also? I read the natives in the latter are partial to country and western music and have a penchant for leather and cowboy hats so that would be right up your alley I imagine.
Do you plan to ever visit the rice terraces further north one day? I understand there are several but do not know whether there are any bars close to the terraces. I guess they would have some but whether or not they have Guest Relation Officers, for those who need assurance they are handsome men, I have no idea.

I trust you enjoyed the home cooking. It looks sumptuous.
Did you place the tip in Chu’s brassiere or underwear? I understand that is the custom there.
Do you plan to go surfing or just rambling in La Union with your kennel, weather permitting I would imagine? I hope you enjoy your mini-break either way.

I do not wish to pry but who actually consumes the several hundred US dollars worth of groceries you purchase each week, as your partner and you appear to spend most of your leisure time visiting western orientated bars and restaurants together as a couple of lovebirds? I have seen photos of your live in carer and that lady looks in proportion so she cannot be consuming that amount of food and drinks surely?
Did the Kokomos staff you purchased the meals for join you at your table? If so, who dealt with the other customers or were these staff on their breaks? Also, do staff at Kokomos not receive at least one complimentary meal per shift anyway? It is a beach resort serving food after all. It would be very miserly of their employer if they do not but then I suppose it is a win-win situation for him when customers purchase additional meals for his staff which culminates in him even making more profit than he would otherwise.

It looked a beautiful day for rambling. Most appear very flushed and exuberant. Did the bars and restaurants make a roaring trade with the Thailand kennel (is kennel the correct parlance?) visiting your little town? I hope nobody shocked or offended anyone’s sensibilities and that the only rubbing down witnessed was with Tiger Balm on aching limbs and joints.
The lady with beer bottle in hand, caressing the shoulder of the young man in the photo taken in what appears to be a bar named It Doesn’t Matter, certainly looks like the cat that caught the cream. Not sure if he is of a similar mind judging by his expression.

A great shot of that young lady riding that contraption. She looks like a very enterprising go-getter.

It is good you did not end up sleeping on the sofa, by not getting interferred with in the bars to your partner’s chagrin.
I can only assume that Alaska Bar is similar to Wet Spot, and is not what you have previously described as a “whore bar”, as you have always seemed keen to stress to readers you do not visit whore bars anymore. However, I am little confused about the Green Place, what with the crotch rubbing you described the other evening. Is the Green Place a whore bar? If so, why do you visit such a ghastly venue – especially with your good lady in tow when she seems so easily offended by such disgusting activities in there.
Out of interest, which bars are the whore bars there for those so inclined? Just asking for the non-pussies, I will stress.

Some days are good, others are a real SOB
I guess that guy being molested in The Green Place was either (pretending?) to be a gentleman, was a beta male or not very rich and famous because he could have grabbed her by the pussy according to Donald Trump if he had been. What does your partner think of Trump’s philosophy? Would you strike Trump if he grabbed her by the pussy??

Looks like an enjoyable trip. No rain judging from the photos which is always a plus at this time of year.
Your friend Michael appears very dapper? Was he even wearing long pants? Does Michael dress well as a matter of course or was he making a special effort for dinner? I ask because most expats in those climes dress rather slovenly most of the time and the closest they ever seem to get to a dress shirt is when wearing a barong in their wedding photograph.

I do not see a figure in your tally of the day’s spending for Beth’s EWR? Did your partner pay that fee for her friend to leave work early from Wet Spot Bar to enjoy the evening with you both at the other bar?
I appreciate Wet Spot must not be a “whore bar” becuase I notice you often remind readers you do not frequent those types of venues anymore. However, I cannot imagine the proprietor of Wet Spot who, judging from one of your blogs a week or two ago, seems to be so tight-fisted they stoop as low as actually begrudging staff (who I understand from reading your blog earn only a pittance anyway) getting some extra toilet paper, would now be so generous to let staff go off drinking in another bar without some sort of financial recompense for Wet Spot bar. Or was Wet Spot simply closed that evening owing to the lack of custom you have also reported, which might explain why the owner has to be so frugal.
It is great to see you can afford to not have to peso-pinch each month and worry about the cost of toilet paper. Long may it continue.

What do you think of Blue Rock for food, drink and views of the bay?

«« Back To Stats PageI find carrying a handful of small stones in one’s pocket, and lobbing even just one or two at the most aggressive soi dogs , will send them all scurrying. Take care always.
