Damn man…you looked no worse for wear on Saturday afternoon! I had no idea.
How the heck did you mess up your finger falling down? Could see a break or something with an awkward fall but a heavily bleeding cut? Crush a glass or something?
Anyways, glad you are ok.

I’ve been there and have the same ideas about the place. Quite a nice place with some damn good music…but \8000 for a bottle of Cass is a little silly heh.

Well done on the 180. I could not make it as it was posted waaay late and I already had other plans.
I know the pain about darts sucking…mine are finally showing some remote signs of life again….who knows….maybe I may be able to throw again by next year π³

John,
You may just want to remove the old hard drive and throw it in an external case. I did that when I changed desktops and it has worked great for me.
Cheers!

Hi John. I know the feeling.

Dammit John! Why could you not just put me on a team!

Certainly wish I could have been there…and I also wish that I could go to the end of season shin dig. Work calls and ya do whatcha gotta do. π₯

Hey John,
I am not so sure I will be able to make it. I have some stuff that I may not be able to get out of π₯
Hope to see you (and beat you π ) there though

What did you buy?
» Posted By Craig On 11/December/2007 @ 7:56 pm

Don’t be so damn modest…that looks great.

The flat rate is definitely the way to go…however it is hard to negotiate a flat rate when you have no idea what the cost of the meter would be!

Wish I could have been there but I was out in the nether regions of Korea on a contract. Looks like I missed a great time and a chance to say goodbye to a great guy.
» Posted By Craig On 11/August/2007 @ 7:17 pm
rough start to the season. Just found out that I will be out of town for about a month…so no darts for me π

Pretty darn amazing pics you have there John. A few things of note…
“pretty damn impressive” ouch…
“and that suits me just fine” I laughed out loud at that…reallyCatch up with you soon

“And when did you get so stupid?”
I cannot comment on the specifics of the film, but only what you said.
While Canada does have health care, it is not flawless by any stretch of the imagination. There are some insane waiting times and not every condition is covered. To top it off, health care is a provincial responsibility – not federal. This allows for great differences from province to province. Thus, presenting a “Canadian” system of health care fits in with the Moore style perfectly – inherently flawed.
I also have a problem with the label “documentary” for anything that he excretes.

Well John, I still consider myself a darting newb so it was quite pleasing being the first time I have won any sort of organized darting event.
I heard about the OldMan and his showing on Saturday – very nice for him as well.
One thing that I have learned already though is that the blind draw can be cruel…or your best friend.
We will have to get some mini ‘invitiationals’ going in the downtime!

Congratulations!
I asked Scott to send me updates as I was unable to go (as much as a would have liked to).
Good luck in the finals and perhaps I will see you tonight.
» Posted By Craig On 18/May/2007 @ 11:56 am
Good luck tonight, John!
I was thinking about coming down and watching the festivities but I don’t think that it will happen.
I will instead stay home and be a good boy in hopes that I can make it to the doubles tourney on Friday.
The hard sell of making it on Friday is that we are moving early Saturday morning….not too sure if it (making the tourney) will happen.
I know Saturday singles is out of the question π₯

Goat 2-1
VJ 1-2
TK 1-2
OldMan + Koichi 0-3Kaput. May write more about it tomorrow. Not in the mood right now π₯

Was the most fun I have had this season without questions. It was just what I needed (playing you guys) after the tough few weeks I have had.
Hope to meet you guys again in the playoffs.
» Posted By Craig On 08/May/2007 @ 12:36 pm
John,
I cannot take credit for that at all! It was you, in fact, that gave me the inspiration in your comment:
“Leave your guns (and darts) at home Craig, save yourself for the playoffsΓ’β¬Β¦ Please”
The first thing I thought of when I read that was The Man in Black!
As for the rest…yeah…living in expat land certainly allows us to see the scourge of our respective societies with a few good people mixed in. I feel pretty lucky in the fact that I was able to meet some good people at a previous job – which actually led me to playing darts which led me to meeting some more quality people (yourself and all the Dolce guys included in that for sure).
Gawd…I best be stopping before this gets too sappy.

A young shooter named The Goat grew restless on the farm
A bovidae filled with wonderlust who really meant no harm
He changed his clothes and shined his shoes
And combed his light hair down
And his wife cried as he walked outDon’t take your darts to the ‘Twan babe
Leave your darts at home Goat
Don’t take your darts to the ‘TwanHe laughed and kissed his wife
And said your Goat’s a damn good man
I can shoot as true and straight as anybody can
But I wouldn’t shoot without a bet
I’d turn nobody down
But she cried again as he rode awayDon’t take your darts to the ‘Twan babe
Leave your darts at home Goat
Don’t take your darts to the ‘TwanHe sang a song as on he rode
His darts around his hips
He rode into the ‘TwanA smile upon his lips
He stopped and walked into a bar
And laid his money down
But his mother’s words echoed againDon’t take your darts to the ‘Twan babe
Leave your darts at home Goat
Don’t take your darts to the ‘TwanHe drank his first of many shots to calm his shaking hand
And tried to tell himself he had a damn good plan
A dusty expat at his side began to laugh him down
And he heard again his wife’s wordsDon’t take your darts to the ‘Twan babe
Leave your darts at home Goat
Don’t take your darts to the ‘TwanFilled with rage then
The Goat reached for his darts to play
But the stranger threw his darts and outed
Right awayAs The Goat dug in his wallet
The crowd all gathered ’round
And wondered at his final wordsDon’t take your darts to the ‘Twan babe
Leave your darts at home Goat
Don’t take your darts to the ‘Twanπ π π π

Sounds like fun. I may have to get some information about that from you on Monday. Might be something that my wife and I would like to do.
I wish I could help you guys out on Thursday but I am previously committed and will not be able to make the match with the Ratz. I will, however, be there with guns blazing on Monday!

I can pretty much make anything with even the tiniest amount of kimchi. For example, I only need a microscopic amount to make my Thai red curry chicken with pineapples and mushroom taste wonderful. On the other side, John does make a really mean carrot cake I had the pleasure of a sample on Duke’s going away party. I least I think it was the creation of LTG…I was pretty damn pissed.
Anyways, where do you live? I am invading and taking all of your food.

Keeping with the theme put forth from VJ…
“Well, all I’m saying is that I want to look back and say that I did I the best I could while I was stuck in this place. Had as much fun as I could while I was stuck in this place. Played as hard as I could while I was stuck in this place… Dogged as many girls as I could while I was stuck in this place. “

“Yeah, its all good.”
True dat! And remember, even when it is bad…it is still good.

The best piece of advice I can give you for that level is to do away with the Romanization as soon as possible. It will help your pronunciation and advancement in the long run.
Kevin knows what he is talkin’ about! Read everything you can – street signs, subway ads, store signs…everything!
Keep up the good work!

Hey John,
Dropped by after our match last night to see if you were still around but was informed that you were…uh…long (time?) gone.
We finished up a bit late ourselves so I was not really expected to see anybody…but ran into Jim. He let me know the surprising news…surprising indeed (not that Sliders are bad…but you know).
Will catch you around….

«« Back To Stats PageI really wish I had the time to do that John, but it is just not going to happen…For the time being I will have to be content with league on Monday night and the occasional weekend. I am just not quite ready to make a dart widow even though I am well beyond a hardcore addict to the game π
Congrats on taking it once again.
