Speaking as a racist, nativist, homophobic hater of Islam…

…let me just say that at least I’m not a liberal scoundrel.  Pardon my redundancy.  Charles Krauthammer nails it:

Liberalism under siege is an ugly sight indeed. Just yesterday it was all hope and change and returning power to the people. But the people have proved so disappointing. Their recalcitrance has, in only 19 months, turned the predicted 40-year liberal ascendancy (James Carville) into a full retreat. Ah, the people, the little people, the small-town people, the “bitter” people, as Barack Obama in an unguarded moment once memorably called them, clinging “to guns or religion or” – this part is less remembered – “antipathy toward people who aren’t like them.”

Do yourself a favor and read the whole thing.

And while we on the subject, I suggest this as well.

  1. The left’s resorting to calling everyone who disagrees with them a name with such horrible connotations only belittles those words themselves. The left tries to demean everyone who disagrees with Obama by calling them a racist. All they are actually doing is demeaning the word ‘racist’.

That word used to actually mean an evil person who hated someone because of their race. The attempt to describe all opponents of Obama as racist as made the word nearly meaningless. The frequency with which the word is used to incorrectly describe people is going ultimately destroy the purpose and minimize the effect of the word. In the current climate so many people are so tired of being described as racist for the simple act of dissenting with the government that they just shrug and continue with what they were doing.

Furthermore, the description of blacks in the Tea Party as ‘Uncle Toms’ is by a more horrible thing. Blacks who identify themselves as followers of the tea party tended to be better educated and better employed than the general black population; so they are then subjected to being called a name with such a horrible connotation simply for following the American system for success. I feel that the critics of these fine Americans are the true racists who believe that blacks must rely on the government to help them out and that blacks who get ahead on their own are out of touch with the ‘black experience’. This truly symbolizes what the left has done to create a racial rift in this country. The left has done a far better job of pursuing racism than the KKK have done in the 145 years that they have worked at it.

The mere idea by the left, that the general population of blacks in America cannot succeed without government intervention is cruel beyond measure, abhorrent to the ideals of what America is based on and racist in the extreme.
