So it turns out that K-blogger Jacob has a long lost twin brother, none other than Hollywood do-gooder Sean Penn.
They act alike, they think alike, at times they even talk alike, what a crazy pair! (sorry Patty!)
Evidence? You want evidence? I’ll give you evidence:
Jacob to those who don’t agree that AGW is settled science: “shut the hell up and get out of the way”
Sean Penn to those who call Hugo Chavez a dictator: “there should be a bar by which one goes to prison for these kinds of lies.”
And if anyone has the audacity to challenge these “progessive” thinkers? Well, let’s hear how caring liberals respond to their critics–
But wait, there’s more! Note the similarities in whom they worship:
Sean Penn with Venezuelan dictator President for life socialist Hugo Chavez.
Jacob with The Messiah one term President socialist Barack Obama.
But the biggest thing they have in common of course is hatred. Hatred for all those who do not share their world view. Hatred of the freedoms and values that celebrate a diversity of opinion. It is a scary thought to imagine a world where the Jacobs and Sean Penns actually held power.
Fortunately, their ignorance is transparent and easily mocked. But shhhh! They think WE are the rubes.
Oh and one last thing. I’ll give Sean Penn credit for at least standing behind what he believes with his name. Jacob is a typical “keyboard warrior” who likes to spout off but has no conviction in his words, at least not enough to put his name to what he writes. I won’t be a dick and call him a pussy, although an asshole would call him out as a coward.

Thanks for the link to ROK. I enjoyed his humorous portrayal of the long-suffering (of fools),exasperated voice of reason and I loved that video.
I must admit I found it funny as hell that when incapable of talking the science you did exactly what he said those he used to debate did–say anything you can think of to retain plausible denialbility that you aren’t making an ass of yourself–“Hatred of all those who do not share their world view. Hatred of freedom and values that celebrate a diversity of opinion.”
You tried to deflect it from a conversation about science to one about equality and patriotism. John if you said that 10 pm at night was daytime no one would appreciate or value your diversity of opinion–especially not if it were detacting from a conversation on how best to maximize usage of daylight hours. They would just think you were a dick and everyone knows that a dick has no brain.

And you can put your fingers in your ears and yell “la la la la” at the top of your voice but it doesn’t change the fact that AGW science is far from settled. I’ve posted numerous links laying out the basis for that. But you and Jacob don’t want to see or read anything that challenges your world view, do you?
You are certainly free to disagree and I don’t have any desire for you to die. ROK acknowledges that folks will disagree and states that he will not bother discussing the issue with those he knows he cannot persuade–yes you would be in that camp. His comments about shut the hell up were tongue in cheek–very evident from the post. You are trying to portray him as something he is not in order to discredit him and by extension the science behind climate destablization. Won’t work.
And John it is isn’t a world view. Its an understanding of science. Anyone who could use the term “settled science” doesn’t understand science. You don’t get it -no sense in further discussion.
