I really don’t think Obama earned this Oscar. He was totally unconvincing in the role of President. Yes, I know he pulled off the incompetent narcissist with a fair amount of skill, but in this comedy-farce it was simply unbelievable to imagine this empty suit as the leader of the free world.
I guess I shouldn’t complain, the Oscar has also been awarded to fools like Al Gore and Michael Moore, so it lost its meaning and relevance long ago.
At least he had the good sense to realize how insane this is. Who would have ever thunk-it.
When I first heard it on the news I thought it was a joke. I can’t help but wonder about the thought process behind it. Smackdab and John pretty much disrespect the man because he is a Democrat. Okay, John at least articulates his problem with his policies and those problems aren’t related to his birth certificate etc.I on the other hand have no problem with him being a Democrat, support some of his policies and even understand the rationale behind others, even if I think they are misguided, and I am still floored by this.
This was the moment I stopped caring about the Oscars:
“And the winner for best picture is…TITANIC!”
11 Oscars for that crap?
“I’M THE KING OF THE WORLD!!!!!”
We need a death panel for actors like Leonardo DiCaprio. I might have to put Celine Dion in there for good measure.
On a somewhat more serious note, who cares that Obama won the Nobel. Yes, a strong case can be made that he didn’t do anything to deserve it but so what? Does it hurt the US? Does it make us less safe? Hurt the economy? It tells us what we all already know: Obama is popular across the world. Beats getting shoes tossed at you I suppose. But so what?
Now I’d like him to get to work please.
