Almost like home

A fun night of darts at the New Cowboy dart bar.

A reunion of sorts with a couple former members of the Seoul International Dart League. They played back in the 1990s, long before my arrival in 2005.

It's a cozy bar, featuring only one board.

Me and New Cowboy owner Miss Tia. I was declared MVP of the tourney and got the honor of wearing the famous MVP cap. Truth be told, I didn't play well at all. I'm sure they were just being nice to their guest.

I’ll be wrapping things up here today with a visit from my friend Tom.  He’s flying in this afternoon.  Last time I saw him we happened to be in Phnom Penh at the same time.

More to come…

  1. And crowned? Wow…I think you are really a good player and happen to be with not really good…lol…and yes Korean foodis is evrywhere…

  2. Sounds like a good, fun, educational trip. Congrats on winning at darts; maybe the Thai dart scene could use your Jedi powers. Any thoughts on moving there, or will Thailand forever remain a tourist destination? Your previous posts made it sound as though moving to Thailand isn’t in the cards, but that was a few days ago. What’re your thoughts now, at journey’s end? (And will we see a “Thailand vs. Philippines” comparative writeup?)

  3. As fas as I feel…there’s no place like home…a home where I used to grow up and where my families and friends are…I have been to few countries…how poor or rich it was…my home is always my home and no else better than that..

  4. Kevin, I’ll have a Thailand wrap-up soon. Overall, I’ve enjoyed my time here. Could I live here? Probably not Bangkok or Pattaya, but there is more to see.

Widow, home is indeed where your heart is. My heart is looking for a home.

  5. I am offering you a home John….lol….but sure your heart will no be there…so no way!…joke!
