Exactly my point, Keith. In fact, now Iran is probably more of a problem than Iraq.

It is wonderful that the world has one less crazy ruler, I am just not sure it was worth that many American lives and American treasure.

If the Iraqi people are so happy we got rid of their evil leader they should give us some of their oil.

We should have just killed the Hussein family and pulled right out. Iraq is far from stable to this day.

See that's the problem, you don't see ridding the world of an evil dictator while freeing millions as booty. We can all be thankful your attitude didn't prevail in the days of Hitler...

Whether you agreed with the war or not, once we were in, winning was the only option. Bush did what it took with the surge, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et al, opted for defeat.

No way to spin that, is there?

I also remember being told there was a link between Iraq and 9/11 and that there were weapons of mass destruction there.

Before you start patting Bush on the back for the surge maybe we should remember the bogus reasons we went to Iraq.

Remember who said it was the"wrong war at the wrong time and the wrong place"?

I am proud of all our men and women who served so bravely in Iraq. I'm just still not sure why there were there. Especially for 7 1/2 years. Lot of money spent and blood spilled, and I don't feel any safer than I did prior to the unprovoked invasion of a sovereign nation.

One need look no farther than Bush's ill fated war in Iraq as the reason the Dem's took control and BHO was elected.

So kudos, W.
